I have an MSI P67A-G43 motherboard I'm repairing and its missing a Capacitor. It was missing when I got the board so I'm not sure what its rating was. Anyone have anyway of finding out?

Post a picture and point out which one...
Those MSI boards use two kinds of caps. Samxon ULR and UER. One series for the VRM high, and the other for the VRM low and the rest of the board. -

Looking at the ULR/UER datasheets, the first line on the cap is the series, the second line is the voltage, the third line is the capacitance, and the fourth line is a date or factory code.
Post what they are and their dimensions, and I might be able to point you to a place where you can buy suitable replacements. The difference between ULR and UER is that UER is a 5000 hour rated part.Comment

I think I'm confusing you.....the cap that is supposed to be there isn't there. I'm trying to find out the specs of the missing cap so I can replace it. Someone apparently just ripped this one off the board with pliers. Only the prongs are still there. Its a solid State capacitor just trying to find out where I can get that kind of info on a motherboard.Comment

I think I know of an easy way to find out what's missing. Have a look at the photo I'm attaching, open it up in Paint or something and circle which one is missing, and then attach it here.Attached FilesComment

Hi everyone,
I recently acquired this card from a seller who was selling a PowerMac G5 for parts. He mentioned that the video card was probably broken too.
Upon closer inspection, I can tell the reason why it won't work: it's missing a bunch of CAPS! (it's also missing an inductor - 1.0uH).
It's a nice card as it's one of the few AGP cards that will support 2560 x 1600 resolution on a PowerMac G5 using a 30" Cinema Display.
Looking at the card, it appears to be missing the following:
1x 1.0uH inductor - orange square
2x... -
I want to start by saying this was by no reason my fault. I was working on this laptop for a friend that stated his Laptop wouldn't come on. I checked the power, nothing. So I went to the cpu and found that liquid metal had seeped under the protective glue and into these caps. (I was streaming so I have video evidence for you non believers) When I removed the glue, the caps came out with it. Anyhow, what I need is a way to identify these missing caps.
