    Zotac 9600gt capacitor replacement

I have already posted my query on tom's hardware but found no helpful answers..anyways i have opted to post it here because i think more informative guys can help me..and here is my question

I have this broken card that was shown to me by a friend. He told me that if I can make it work, its as good as mine.. I noticed that a capacitor had a leak and I think that is the cause.. Problem is, the capacitors has little to no labels at all.. at the top of the caps it only says

    CF
    180
    C
    823

all in blue colored text. Any idea what capacitor type this is? Or how many voltage it has and any other specifics?
Please help..i would really be happy to have this card working because I only have a 7300gt which is very old..thanks for any inputs guys i'd really appreciate it.

I already found what those labels mean but i'm not too sure..the capacitor has no manufacturer label only those..

    CF - capacitor series type
    180 - capacitence
    C - rated voltage (this is 16volts)
823 - this is the Lot no. (not sure what it means tho)
    this is from nichicon..

    help..pls. thanks

    Re: Zotac 9600gt capacitor replacement

I believe you are correct - the details are as for a nichicon cap.
Is there nothing on the sides or base when removed?

Other main manufacturers do not seem to use that series/voltage code/ Batch uh value in that order.

      Re: Zotac 9600gt capacitor replacement

The Lot No is incorrect i think, i cannot find any reference on nichicon's site with an 823..anyhow i managed to replace the cap today with a 16volts, 1000uh. sadly it didn't work.. i think im gonna replace all of the capacitors later..then update my findings here. if it still won't work, i guess i installed an incorrect cap then? or maybe the damage is located somewhere else? are there any tools where i could test all the ICs on a video card?

        Re: Zotac 9600gt capacitor replacement

Whilst you can increase the uf on a replacement it is usual to just go to the next step 1000uf is too big a jump.
The lot numbers do not matter - they are for the manufacturers internal use - tells them what date they were produced and which factory

          Re: Zotac 9600gt capacitor replacement

thank you sir selldoor for lots of valuable information. you're the best. i have found a datasheet at nichicon's website and i think i may have found my capacitor. here is the link. the rated capacitence (uF) is 180 and it is 16volts. going to our local electronics shop tomorrow and gonna opt to replace all 4 capacitors just to be sure..if it still won't work then im gonna go for a reflow next

klipsch kda-500 amplifier suitable power supply capacitor replacement ?
            by r2digital
I have a klipsch kda-500 that would turn on and allow me to get into the web management but it was picking up a lot of noise from audio sources so i decided to replace the smd caps on the power supply along with radial one. Some one was in here before me and they basically burned the bottom side of the traces off for the radial cap but i was able to repair it without any real problem. I thought i did a good job sourcing out replacement caps but apparently not and now i can't get the power supply to turn on it just constantly try's to keep turning on. Attached is a picture of the power supply before...

            Discontinued Capacitor looking for Replacement
            by rwkish
Capacitor has been discontinued (EGXF101ELL331MM20S) all of the replacements I have found have are smaller than 0.709" Dia (18.00mm). I would like to use the same size or at least close to the same size Capacitor. 19mm would be too big as they would touch and not be able to through hole mount. Tia...

            Replacement capacitor options please?
            by Hylax
Hi, I'm super new to this capacitor stuff but I've some basic soldering experience with old cellphones PCBs and headphones. I have this APAQ AR5K 820∆μF 3V Dc Capacitor from a motherboard that I'm looking to replace, photos I've attached. But I'm unable to find a 3V one like I've marked in the spec sheet in red (This is the one currently present in the motherboard). But the 6.3V one I can find (marked in blue) is of similar dimensions but different specs as mentioned in the table. Is it okay to replace it with higher voltage cap, slightly higher ESR, slightly lower ripple current, and double...

Zotac GTX 1050 Ti Mini ZT-P10510A-10L Replacement Crystal
            by OakleyDAR
            HI,

I'm looking to replace the 27MHz crystal on this board as it isn't generating the signal. I thought it would be easy to identify a suitable replacement as there are clear markings on the crystal, but it appears I was wrong as Google gives nothing. Bad photo attached, but it has X27.0000 and 16AP1 on the casing. It appears to be a 3225 package, but looking through suppliers there are lots of different things like capacitance, tolerance, active or passive, etc. that need to be considered. Could anyone help identify a suitable replacement please?

            Thanks....
