    Taiwan Commate Computer P2BXA

Bad STONE caps, also shorted one of the MOSFETs.
The super I/O chip is probably bad as it pulled down the power-button signal, preventing it from working. After desoldering pin #73, it can be powered on. CPU now starts but the board reboots over and over probably during super I/O initialization. I don't have replacement super I/O chip now so putting the board in "need parts, fix later" pile...

For me, that board would be going into the "not worth the effort, trash" pile...
    Ludicrous gibs!

[HELP] Acer AN515-55 (LA-J871P Rev: 1B) – Board won't power on after GPU investigation – Suspecting Super I/O or PCH

        Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:
        • Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B
        • Model: Acer AN515-55-59MT
        • S/N: NHQ7JAL00403906A973400
        • SNID: 03902728734

        Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

Asus ROG Ally - Super IO Chip replacement
        by ongobongo
        Hello everyone,
anyone here who has experience with replacing the super IO chip of an ROG ally?
I have one on my bench which has a burnt super io (ITE 5125VG-192). On some devices the super-io downloads it's firmware from BIOS if it's empty. As i don't have a programmer for this chips i hope someone here has already changed the chip and can give me a hint if it's working with an empty chip if it needs external programming.
        Thanks
        Ongo

        Swap Super I/O Lenovo Ideapad
        by Paul20
Hi, I would like some advice.
I have two motherboards, one with a dedicated GPU and the super I/O with obvious burn marks on it, and another working motherboard without a dedicated GPU.
My question is: can I swap the super I/O from the motharboard without dedicated GPU to the one with dedicated GPU? Will it work anyway or is that super I/O taken from the motherboard without GPU only good on motherboards without dedicated GPU?
The motherboards are exactly identical even in terms of versions...the only difference concerns the dedicated GPU in one and not in the other.
