    New to the site, needing help from the experts.

    Hi guys, just joined as i have been looking around for a fix to a tv i have just bought.

    Have always liked electrics and now want to learn about them so i thought i would buy a broken tv and see what i can do.

    I bought an alba 19inch (Vestel from what i have read on this site).

    It goes into standby (Blue light on) but then when i press the power button the blue light goes off, then 3 seconds later the backlight comes on for less than one second and goes off. And thats it? I have read about and its likely to be the caps but i can't find any bad ones?

    The power board is a 17ips15-4.

    I have tried this board in another alba (16inch one) and it does the same thing. Although the 16inch one works fine.

    Is there any chance you guys can help me out, I plan to be hanging around here for a long time .
    Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

      I suggest you post this in the section entitled "Troubleshooting TVs and Video Sources" in a new thread post clear focused focused pictures of all your boards following my sig file below exactly.

              Alba CBB16 replacement switches

              Hello,

              I've been given an Alba CBB16 radio to look at. The issue was no sound from either speakers when switching to the radio. They'd just be some buzzing/static. I did some troubleshooting and found that if I mess with the switch in certain ways, the sound cuts in and out on the right channel speaker. It'll go from quiet with some static/buzzing to really loud and clear depending on how the switch is moved. This told me that the radio at least has an issue with this switch.

              The switch appears to be broken on the inside causing a poor connection. I tried cleaning it...

              alba 10 tablet sdcard issue.

              Hi all.
              Im trying to access the sd card in my ALBA 10tablet directly from my pc, but when I connect using using usb its only showing the internal storage.
              I have a samsung tablet and it shows both internal and external storage when connected but no dice with the Alba.Is there some setting i'm overlooking.?
              My grandson has an amazon tablet and again the sdcard is not there when plugged in to pc.

              Hello,

              This is the original bios dump of an Asus UX450F i7 Laptop for which I can't read the serial number on the back, it is totally faded. Mainboard says UX450FDX MAIN BOARD REV. 2.0.

              Can anyone clean the ME region as it posts but no fans, no sound, and no wifi.

              My Macbook, which had been working fine until two weeks ago, now has unstable power and won't turn on.

              When I took it apart, I found a lot of dust, so I think that might be what caused the damage.

              I checked with a USB meter and found that the voltage is 20V, and the current consumes a maximum of about 150mA, then fluctuates between 4 and 70mA.

              The same thing happens when the battery is removed.

              There were no short circuits in the PPBUS_G3H or NAND.
