hello all i have a lg 60pa6500 trying to find a replacement hdmi port i ordered some but the legs dont line up as there not symmetrical thanks -
I did an hdmi port repair for a PS5 and I lost the small diode z71 SOD923 on the back of the port. I did a trace repair for pin 19 of the port as well. Without the diode I get no display at all. I tried replacing the diode twice but after I get flux on it the marking comes off so I can't tell if I have it on the right orientation. When I measure I get a reading of 1(open) and 923 in diode mode. Is 923 a normal reading for these and also which side should the reading be with regards to the arrow on the board?... -

I’m trying to recover a Samsung UE55HU8500L (curved UHD, 4K model from 2014) after replacing the panel. The new panel is a 55A1UU8EH, which produces excellent image quality — very close to the original.
However, since the swap, the TV enters a boot loop (Samsung logo → restart) unless I enter the service menu and perform a reset.
The service mode had been previously modified — possibly by a technician or during the panel swap — and I suspect some key settings are mismatched for the European (Greece) market.

Looks like I fried something when my EDP cable got squeezed on the hinge. I replaced the cable but still no display. Laptop works fine with external monitor connected through HDMI and Display Port-USB C port. I took it apart and I see a burnt component. Can anyone help me identify what this component is? I tried to use schematics for another G15 but it does not match on the amount of pins and size. I attached pictures. The component has a label on it - (21A29)

Long story short. i am building a fully custom car radio. and want to use a extremely bright LCD.
sadly the DGPU seems to be nonfunctional after i fixed the bios (fried voltage controller). so the Original HDMI port does not work.
you can use a EDP TO HDMI adapter to add a HDMI port as replacement to the onboard EDP LCD connector,
HOWEVER it turns out. lenovo enforces a LCD whitelist.
this means you cannot upgrade the LCD despite matching EDP specs and voltages.
If i connect a new screen directly to the system. only static shows....
