    MSI GTX 770 4GB Error witch MATS

    Hi guys, im trying to diagnose GTX 770 4GB
    After plugged in pc until card is cold there is a picture, but later when it has more temp then stops giving picture.

    After testing witch mats, i can't get proper result, log shows only

    mats version 295.35. Testing GK104 with 20 MB of memory.
    DecodeAddress: Unsupported memory configuration - 11 slices, 32 L2 sets, 16 DRAM banks, 0 ext DRAM banks

    In GPU-Z card is visible normally as second card, could you point me in the right direction
    Broken solder under GPU
    or maybe all chips are broken ?

      if error is temp related and u have proper paste and pads, than it is balls under gpu chip

      770 was very hot so it is normal

          I can add that when its cold i've ben able to run MATS and there was no error on VRAM chips, i've run mats couple times and the results was always the same, no error on vram.

          After you boot pc to windows, and the card will get hoter then problem persist, no video after a moment.

          So i need to reball GPU on that card. Thanks for your replay

              Hello everyone!

              I need the UEFI-compatible version of NVIDIA MATS/MODS to test VRAM on a
              laptop RTX 4070 GPU (GN22-X11 / AD107). My MSI Stealth 16 Studio laptop
              is UEFI-only (no CSM), so I specifically require the mats.efi payload
              that works on Ada GPUs.

              Local repair technicians here do not have MATS/MODS versions that support
              RTX 40 series, so I need the proper UEFI build (v2.0.0 or newer).

              If anyone can share the correct MATS/MODS package for Ada (UEFI boot),
              or any documentation on how to run mats.efi on RTX 4070 Laptop GPUs,...

              Hi,

              I have an Nvidia card which makes me wondering, what is the root cause for Mats errors. The story is as follows:

              1. When I received the card Mats showed one memory with errors.

              2. Replaced the memory chip, but no change, still same error, so memory chip is ruled out.

              3. Made a carefull reballing of the GPU, MATS showed 3 memories with errors, the one before, and 2 other new chips.

              4. Made a second reballing of the GPU and Mats shows again only one memory chip with errors, the same on as in the beginning.

              I'm new to MATS and can only use it after watching a Youtube video, downloading the one he linked to (version 400.184) and running it without changing anything. I have no great understanding of it.

              I have 3 graphics cards in the house.

              My son's - Palit GTX 1080 used for 3D games constantly.
              Mine - Nvidia GTX 1080 not used for 3D games, just basic stuff.
              Inno3D RTX 2080 I bought faulty hoping to repair for my son's PC.

              Running MATS on my son's GTX 1080 gives a pass with no errors.

              Hi all,

              I have a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite Motherboard.

              Originally would not power on

              Reprogram EC eeprom and Bios eeprom with known good from this forum. Now error lights cycle between CPU and Dram.

              I have checked for shorts on all coils and found none.
              I have checked all power rail voltages and chips for pgood signal all good
              Checked CPU socket and found a damage pin, managed to clean and fix it should be making good contact now but no change. Dram and CPU are known good. Dram sockets look good.

              Hello,

              I have a RTX 2080 that is broken, but interesting thing is that the card works how it should work, but when playing the card crashes, black screen fans go to 100% and nothing happens anymore. I changed thermal paste because I thought it was overheating, but no. So I checked with gpu z and here is what I had.

              After a while a dude I got friends with told me to underclock the gpu via msi afterburner. First to underclock the core speed by 200 then open the chart for the mhz and voltage and said that I should change the mhz at 0,9v to 1900mhz. Since then I doesn't crash...
