Have been checking the prices to build a low end PC and it is way more than a comparable Dell or Compaq. I realize that there are more options if do it myself but all I am looking for now is a reliable inexpensive PC.
Recently saw a few reviews about how good the low end Compaq is. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1870262,00.asp
Has anyone checked to see if the caps in the low end Dell and Compaq PCs are good? Also if some of these models are using multiple mobo vendors then it seems wise to try to get the best one.
Would appreciate any suggestions concerning packaged PCs.
If decide to go this way will check all the mobo caps. Am also wondering if it would be smart to open and check the Power Supply and monitor caps. Only prob I know is that some power supplies have labels so will void warrenty if open.
