WNR1000V2 wireless troubles

I don't recall what exactly changed because I don't recall this happening (or at least not very often) until I changed something in the router settings. Anyway...

Everything on my network works great; my main system which is hard-wired, the PS3 and both our Android phones in WiFi mode... UNTIL we fire up the laptop, which runs off wireless, then the connection goes to crap and any access to the net, even on my hard-wired system, slows to a crawl.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Router has latest firmware.

A) Reset the router.
B) See if there's an updated driver for the wireless adapter in the laptop.

1) Try running just the laptop to see if the wifi and Internet is good.

2) You might have duplicate IP addresses when all the machines are on?

3) There may be a virus on the laptop? I like malwarebytes (free).

I forgot I made this thread. What ended up happening was the laptop had some sort of a virus/spyware/rootkit, whatever that caused the system to access some address over the net that flooded the connection. Even got an email from Comcast that the system may be afflicted with such a problem.
