    Netgear FVX538 router bad caps

Just repaired 2 Netgear FVX538 routers with bad caps. Same caps bad on both boards. Original caps were 1000uf, 16V made by TEAPO.

    Welcome, ecalleli!
    Good repair job.
The bad capacitors appear to be Teapo SC (if that is correct).
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Thanks. I've repaired DC jacks and things like that before but this is my first capacitor repair. I'm not sure how to tell if they are the "SC" model. The only markings are TEPCO, SZ105°C, 10/05, and A3.

        They are SZ series.
        .
Need something comparable to MBZ for those.

Then it's SZ-serie, supposedly ultra low ESR capacitors. What did you replace them with?

            I believe it's a Nichicon HN(M) B1050.

HM would have been good enough but HN will work fine.
              BTW:
The (M) is just the uF tolerance code [+/-20%], and not part of the series name.
.... I know,,, they run it together when they print it.
