Can a 100uF/450 filter cap be replaced by a 120uF/450V cap?

    hi,

I am trying to fix a monitor and it has a bad filter cap.

The original cap is 100uF/450V and i have a spare (from another unit) 120uF/450V cap..........would it be ok to replace the 100uF with the 120uF?

        Fake Nichicon 100uF 450v GN (M)

        Hello,
Just opened a fake Nichicon cap. Checked the technical data, and nothing matches. The capacitance and ESR are okay though. Interestingly, the legs are made of brass ...

        PS4 ADP-240CR fast shutdown
        by tikyucnan
We repaired an ADP-240CR that was not producing 12V properly.
DDA001AG and 1608B were broken, so they were replaced and 12V came out normally, but when connected to the main unit and turned on, it immediately shuts down.
Then 5V is not output and the power supply locks up.
When the power cable is disconnected and reconnected, the lock is released.
I have seen the locking symptom when there is something wrong with the 1608B, so I replaced it with another 1608B, but the situation remains the same.

        I transplanted major ICs such as DDA001AG, DAS001, 1608B, DNP012A,...

Missing Component Values on a Pectlight TX1775DH PSU
        by Crystaleyes
I was given a Chinese lighting SMPS to have a look at.

        It's only a small thing with a single 24v 8.3A output, coming off a 127v mains input.

It came with a blown fuse and someone had already changed the filter caps and the switching Mosfet Source resistor, and it is these values which I am wondering how best to work out.

The FET is a FQPF12N80C N-Channel with the Source resistor connecting straight to ground.
The original resistor had been replaced with two piggy-backed 0.33Ω which measures around 0.18Ω on my tester. I am still learning...

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
        by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

        Hi all,
this unit comes from a samsumg LCD TV LE32C530F1W which stopped working after making a strong noise like something was exploded inside of it.
I opened it and found that fuse FP801S was blown, capacitor CP814 was completely disintegrated and MOSFET QP801S was shorted.
I replaced all of them and instead of the fuse I connected a 100 Watt bulb. Then, without connecting it to other TV boards, I switched it on, but the bulb begun to blink.
I thought that maybe the bulb was somehow interfering with the normal operation of the power supply, so I replaced it with a fuse,...
