    B140XW01 V.0 Bad Tcon (White Screen)

    Hi, I have this LCD Panel. I know it's a cheap panel that I can easily replace but I'm trying to repair it.

    Is giving a white screen. I already checked with the oscilloscope that I have EDID Data and CLK. But besides that, I'm clueless. Don't know what to measure.

    Backlight works all right, and VDD is 3.3v stable.

          I have just the panel, I savaged it from an acer laptop (I have only the top part of the laptop)

              You can flash the EDID,it could be corrupt,but how are you going to test for an image on the screen unless you hook it up to the laptop ? or a controller board like this - https://www.ebay.com/itm/DVI-VGA-Aud...-/172319454906

                  Hello everyone,

                  I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

                  To ask here... I have few devices with white screen problem, actualy nokia 2220 and some fuji? camera, and try to understand what is common problem to cause that issue.
                  Yes, both devices work everything else probably ok, I mean, I hear intro melody and keypress click sound, DTMF tone, power on off... all ok.
                  On desk is nokia 2220 slide, and I check all screen connectors and components arround it, measure voltage drop, but all looks ok.                   Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

                  My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

                  This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                  Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

                  Hi,
                  i have a 65 Panasonic TX-65HX710E using vestel 17MB170 main and Lg tcon.

                  Few drops of water fell probably near COF and have no display. Tried removing tabs but no.part of display present as if tcon fuse open. However 12v is present and tcon can be felt warm enough that supplies are present. Backlight and sound ok.

                  Anyone knows if this TCon 6870c-0805A has any special test pins for rgb test?

                  Appreciate your help....
