    2 Monitors same symptoms - BenQ

    I have two LCD monitors, a BenQ Q7T3-FP737s-D and a BenQ Q7T4-FP72G. Both of these monitors were manufactured in August 2005. Both have broken back lights, however I can not find out where the problem is, i'm not sure whether it is the CCFL tubes or the caps? The the display works but neither of the back lights in either monitor turn on. If you need any pics I will post them ASAP.

      Post pictures. If you can't tell by looking at them, how are we supposed to tell WITHOUT looking at anything? In general, if the backlight never comes on the problem lies with the inverter (or power supply).

      A case mod light kit will make testing much easier. Use the CCFLs supplied with the kit to test the monitor's inverter. Use the kit inverter to test the monitors CCFLs.

              Hi All.

              Does anyone have any reference materials or something I can use to try troubleshooting a BenQ TH681? Google unfortunately has turned up zip. I did find a service manual for a W series BenQ but that is pretty much useless, it's more a glorified user manual. A list of voltages would be great as I suspect my mainboard is faulty, the colour wheel voltage is not dipping like it should.

              The one I am troubleshooting now was originally overheating after a lamp replacement. It originally would take 2 minutes or so for it to shut off and blink the temp and lamp lights...

              Hi:

              i am trying to repair this Christmas lights from my parents. They are incandescent lights, no led lights.

              I have tried with 12V a 24V small lights that I found in Aliexpress but is obvious that are not the right ones. They last microseconds connected. Do they blow because of Amps or Volts?

              If I measure the Amps in the string........it's only 90mA. If I measure the Volts in the "green box"......it's between 0 and 190V, but doing a little bit of maths from the number of bulbs in series.......it's only about 6V per lamp.

              Hey all I've been asked by one of our neighbours to have a look at a new to him pc he's recently built. He noted when he first built it he couldn't get any video out of the system but it seemed like it was booting into windows as he was able to use the caps lock light and ctrl+alt+delete wouldn't reboot the pc like it should if your stuck in a boot loop. Also the board he has all the post lights would go through their usual cycle and eventually turn off. He swapped the graphics card and still same issue so he asked us to have a look at it.

              I hooked it up and at first couldn't fault...

              Hello,

              I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

              Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...
