    LG IPS277L - Cycles/backlight on-off

    Hello,

I've got this monitor that turns on for blink of a second, then turns off, then on, then off and so on.

I've disassembled the whole screen, took a look at LED strip, replaced 3 LED's, but the backlight still doesn't work properly.

LED strip is divided into 4 sections (AB + CD). Bad LED's that were replaced were 2 LED's in section C (1st and 2nd LED) and in section D (1st LED).

First LED's in each section have a Diode symbol written above.

When those 3 LED's in sections C and D are removed and I try to power up the board with LED strip connected, then sections A and B work, backlight stays on.

What I have now is all LED's installed and I tried to connect the laptop through HDMI ports. One of the ports works fine, the connection is stable, while other port keeps connecting and reconnecting. Backlight keeps flashing on both ports. I haven't tried with LED's removed in sections C and D.

Before disassembly, I tried to see if anything could be displayed at the monitor while the laptop was connected through HDMI and it does. The screen was visible in the moments when backlight flashed.

I've also measured HDMI ports using resistance mode (diode mode?) and one pin had 0.880 while on the other port, the same pin had around 0.550.

Forgot to say the capacitor where voltage for LED's goes has around 19.5V when backlight is off and around 40V when backlight flashes.

If you need any pictures, numbers, let me know.
I'm not an expert, rather a noob, still learning.

    I appreciate any idea/comment.

(old) LG 32lk330 cycles Backlight 3 times and then OFF
    by edugimeno
Hi!! I have been given this old TV set.
When I hit the power button, the BL (as you know this is a CFL backlight) turns on, video works fine as I can see the LG logo show off, but the backlight starts going on-off for 3 times, when it gives up and turns completly off
This set has a inverter board on the top right corner. This inverter (or the tubes, I don't really know) buzzes very loudly during the second that the BL stays ON. I have posted a video, turn your volume UP!

this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even...

ASUS ROG Strix G713QR - Keyboard, backlight and side LEDs don't work
    by hollox123
Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:

    1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
    2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
    3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work

The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.

I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.

But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,...

Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U - Replaced Backlight LEDs but now no image/display or garbled
    by signal.quest
I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
    by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...
