I have 2 LP540 projectors and 1 LP650 all with the same problem. They are dead to the world, no lights or anything. I am leaning towards the power supply although nothing appears burnt and the fuses test out fine. Anyone have any experience working on a DLP projector and what else to look for?

Re: Infocus projectors 3 of them to be exact
I know this post is old, but did you ever have any luck fixing these projectors? I've got an InFocus ScreenPlay 5000 that is having the same issue. Granted, it's a 3-LCD projector (I think your LP models are probably DLP), but the PSU is probably similar.
In my case, it is a dead PSU problem, but something else in the projector is killing them. After the first one died, I swapped in a spare. That one lasted about a week and died as well. Then I swapped the PSU and ballast, worked for a day, and died again.
Out of curiosity, were you using the stock lamp or a third party replacement?

by SluggerBI have an old Tivo. The Power Supplies are known to have caps that fail. Here are the caps that come with the original power supply:
I could not find replacement caps with the exact same specs. I followed an online guide and recapped the power supply with caps with these specs
The power supply now works, however the HDMI video is giving me eye strain. I don't know how a capacitor on a Power supply could impact an HDMI video signal, but it does, the Tivo interface has a flicker now and the color/brightness is off. So I want to get some new caps...-

by narfhi all,
first of all: i'm a (motivated) newbie, so please forgive me any stupid question i may or may not ask
i'm currently repairing a projector: Epson EB-U42 that doesn't start (no lights, nothing).
what i've found so far:
- the PSU does its job and supplies 12V to the mainboard via the connector.
- shortly thereafter, there is a mosfet (TS420-600B) where i can test 12V on the one side (in the data sheet this side is called Anode), Gate 0V, Kathode shorted to ground
- not far away, there's the first cap with a resistance of 0.7 ohms.... -
by budwichGot this projector which has a problem with a lack of blue. Menu text is very yellow... expecting white. If I input a signal from a test disc via hdmi, a red screen image shows a uniform red as expect. Green similar while the blue does show but with non-uniformity. Looked at the in-polarizers. They are all good and clean. Running the projector to expose the light area in the prism block, shows each color well represented, all looking about the same intensity from the naked eye. Looking at the prism block itself and sending a light source back into the "out port", the individual...
