    e-machine no signal

Hi all I would like to thank the contributors on this site for the valuable information and the help I have received I have fixed several monitors from the info you guys have given and mostly was replacing bad caps. I will continue to use this site, keep up the good work. Here is one I can`t seem to find I am checking out a lcd monitor for a friend. It is a e-Machine brand. When I plug it in and fire it up the light is green than it shows a no signal on the screen than goes black and the light goes amber. The monitor cable is properly attached and working ok on another monitor that I have tried so it is not the video card on the pc. What should I look for inside the monitor. Would this be on the video board or the inverter board. All cabs seem good.

I had a similar problem with an eMachines E15t3G. It was one (well, three...) bad wires inside the VGA/Signal cable. Check those with a multimeter. If they are OK, then the problem will be in the Video Board.

Thanks eguevarae I changed out the cable and still the same. I will check out the board. Is there something common on the board that could cause this problem? What do I look out for?

Did you solve this? I have received a dead eMachines e15t3g. Is this the same model as yours?
