Friend's machine. I have board-level repair skills he doesn't.
Machine fell from a 5 ft shelf to a tile floor. No visible signs of damage other than a small crack in the upper right corner the bezel.
Display output to an external monitor is perfect.
Display to LCD is as follows: multiple vertical lines spread across the screen allowing some of the actual display to show but a bit muted AND at specific intervals the screen flickers horizontally as if it were an old TV set with horizontal hold issues.
Just want to confirm it's the panel. Some threads in this category I have read of similar or same symptoms point to connections in the panel itself being disturbed and thus not repairable. Replace panel. I posted this under laptops and got two very amateur answers wanting me to swap components. If I had another panel or LVDS I would have tried that. Duh!
