HP W2408 - no live, no reaction

Hi everyone, at the beginning I apologize for my language - I'm Polish.

I got the monitor from a friend. When using the monitor went blank. No LED blink, no reaction. He carried to the site, and he heard only "PSU is broken".
Technician tried to fix something - I see flux.
I not picked up the elements (i don't have now solder - was in the house)
I opened the monitor and took pictures. I measured transistors. For me - 3 have shorts. (Red on the foto have shorts between all three pins). Green don't have shorts.
Diode bridge is short (+ and -). I think, i musst first pick up diode bridge and on the table check whether diode bridge have short or no.
I checked - fuse is broken (5A). At the picture we can see scorched resistor ( R85_ - I can't read). Here is list of red and grean elements:
    -MBRF 1060CT SSG 07116 (x2)
    -K3797 7:B
    -FMLS16 S 68 3
    -K3562 4F

    PSU: ILP-004 Rev A
    Panel: lm240wu3
    Inwerter: QLI-002 Rev B
    MB: ILIF-035 Rev A
    Caps visually they are ok.
Please suggestions how to fix it.
I'm sorry that adds pictures to an external hosting.
    It lasted hosting.
I do not see the option to add photos.
    Regards

you have more problems than the 3 burned tranzistors you also have more badly burned stuff on the psu take a look at the attachament i have circled them in red

      Thank you for your answer!
I've seen these places. What could be the reason?
I would like to fix PSU. Next week I peak up transistor, diode bridge and
I'll check. What else should I check? Whether the cause could be the capacitor next - its capacity has decreased and sailed a higher current?
Once I heard about this case, but I do not know if it's true.

You can add photos with "manage attachments" button - how to do that is shown here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1868

dragos2009 is right, the burnt area by that glue and R8xx? is bad too. You will need to cleanup and replace that resistor at least.

Also those 2 pins on CN830 board maybe damaged, you need to check them.

If the main bridge is shorted it probably blew the MOSFETs. When they blew they probably took out the controller on the daughter-board at CN830. It looks like someone tried to repair a trace to one of the IC pins but the controller itself may be blown.

I think you're going to need a schematic to fix this one, but I can't find one.

Now I know how to upload pictures

It does not look good Exactly, scheme is not available anywhere.
As I wrote in the next week, I check these elements and write.

If you can clean up those resistor under the glue with alcohol you maybe can read the code. You will need to clean up the soot from the board too in case of electrical leakage.

If the resistor is burnt and open circuit, and the markings are too damaged, see https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...69b55c45bf.pdf for ideas on how to find out what value it was.

I do not know why it happened. short-circuit was not .
if anyone knows indication of this chip ? I read only TD ( A ) ....

It's just the audio amplifier chip, so probably not critical for operation. You can probably remove it and test without it.

Perhaps when the old PSU failed, it damaged the chip, now when you test with a new PSU it blew up as it was shorted from damage already?

Re: HP W2408 - no live, no reaction

Yes - it's audio amplifier. I remove chip - and when power is ON screen is RED GREEEN BLUE . Over and over again. No reaction to plug VGA cable or other. So i think MB is dead. I think about T-CON, but when it shows the colors rgb think it is OK?
I would buy a universal MB (google: V59) and connect. New MB costs ~40$ - it's too much. I do not know pinout's from MB and inverter.
Maybe someone knows? The supply voltage of the inverter, which is pwr_on to start PSU?

                    Regards

it gone to factory test mode.try this
                      1) Make sure you have video on your current input.
                      2) Then turn off monitor.
                      3) Hold down the "Menu" and " +" keys while turning OFF/ON REAR Power switch.
IF monitor does not have rear power switch (ex. w2408) then just do with front power switch.
                      4) Bring up OSD and scroll up/down to "F" letter at one corner of the OSD window.
                      5) Press Menu/select button to enter Factory menu.
                      6) Scroll down and turn off Burnin.
                      7) Scroll back up to "Exit" menu.
                      8) Cycle power with front power button

in produce line in factory you need keep warm monitor to some alignments and testing monitor for any problem.so you need signal.by pushing some key like as :menu ,+ key and............monitors gone to factory test mode.(RGB blinking).the monitor feeds own signal by this mode.by service mode you can change some alignments like as H size, vertical size ,white balance ,..........

                              Hi,

I'm learning about motherboard repair and I believe I've traced the issue down for the South Bridge on the particular motherboard I'm working on. My path of concluding that:
                              - There's no sign of any attempt to power on when pushing the power button.
                              - No PSON signal is reaching the 24-pin ATX connector.
                              - The Super IO chip is receiving the PS_SWITCH signal from the power button and is relaying this signal back to the South Bridge.
                              - The Super IO is not receiving the S_SLPS#_R signal back from the South Bridge
                              - If I pull the Super IO S_SLPS#_R pin...

I have a Gainward GTX 295 with two PCB's which has a broken SLI bridge ribbon cable. As a result, the card is entirely useless and I'd really like to fix it if possible.

I've searched eBay and AlieExpress but haven't been able to find the part.

I believe this same SLI bridge cable is used on the Nvidia 9800 GX2 and the GTX 295 which both have two PCB's.

Can anyone help me on where to get a replacement SLI bridge cable please?

Bad symptoms when Ivy Bridge CPU (3rd-gen 22nm) is installed:

What I've already done and it hasn't helped:
                              • Cleared CMOS many times;

I'm in the midst of reparing a battery charger in work which went pop, The bridge rectifier has shorted and took out a couple of other components. The rectifier in question has a part number KPB305G, and it looks like it's obsolete. Does any one know what I could replace it with?...
