    Samsung B2230N Yellow Screen

    Hello everyone,

I have a problem on monitor from title as a yellow coating on the screen. The problem is the chip that can be seen in the pictures below ( C96mJ ). I have no schematic for that monitor but I found that the problem is short-circuit from a blue to ground. The question is how to find this chip - is it possible to obtain/buy somewhere?
    Thank you for any help!

Nasty one, indeed. Couldn't find datasheet, just alibaba sales etc, and they sell it by a lot ofc.

However, that should be one of the following ICs. Can't see a number from your pics. I say desolder it and check that pin to ground. Only if you lose conectivity to ground, you can blame the chip itself.
That IC, like any other, has at least one leg (could be more) connected to GND. If the pin itself is connected to ground, and you know it shouldn't be, then follow traces and try to find shorted component (most likely a cap).

There are other methods (injecting current) to finding a shorted component, but you have to be positive on short before dwelling into that.

Chip was desoldered and checked and have short from blue pin to ground pin. And yes, it is hard to find this chip. Now I'm interested in models of samsung monitors that use this chip. I want to find faulty monitor and use this chip for repair.

            Re: Samsung B2230N Yellow Screen

Without cable message "missing input" is fine, all colors appear real. Chip that is problematic has a hole at the bottom and short from the pin for the blue color to the ground. The question is, from which Samsung monitor, other than this, can I get that chip.

            P.S.
Apologies for the terrible English, and thanks to google translator.

i think C96mJ is ok and some parts in RGB line or your VGA controller ic have a problem.for sure you can remove this ic and check blue input pin in rgb socket(testing with multi-meter) .you said blue is shorted to GND SO Blue pin in this socket must be short to GND.if you remove this ic and
like before blue pin in socket was short to gnd therefore IC have not problem.
                      sorry for bad english

                          by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

AOC U34G3XM, new monitor, black screen with backlight on, possible shortcircuit during dissassembly
                          by turmix
Hello, I'm working on a new deskmod pc project and have a problem with my monitor, an AOC U34G3XM, well, I may have bricked it.

The monitor was dismanteled and the separate parts parts integrated in the desk. the screen panel alone is on the upper part, and main board/video board + power board on the back of the desk (not enough place on the cover to fit it)
At first everything was working smoothly, then I decided to change the connexion between the video board and the screen for a longer one. Still working fine

During another reassembly, I made a mistake, and...

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
                          by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen

                          HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
