  • LG 27GL63T-B completely dead

    Hello everyone!

Have this fine monitor, which doesn´t give any sign of life.
No LED diode, no reaction whatsoever.
PSU is OK, and there is 19V on both big caps and one pin of backlight connector,
    for example.

Now, in these modern things there is only one board and no discreet components at all, so I really can´t start much with it.
    Any help would be appriciated

Board no. is EAX68524502(1.1) and there are none selling in Europe

  • Re: SONY TA-F319R amp problem

Found out that IC 902 & 903 have been changed by someone, and while they are same type, pin order is different.

After rewiring, I have 8V on the one side, but 37 on the other (same as the input)

I´ll order new regulators and go from zero.

I think it clicks, but really hard to tell. ON large caps (both) 40V.

emitter resistors all close to zero, but IC 902 and 903 are real fun.

    IC902 input 60V, output 24V.
    IC903 input 3,8V, output 3,0V.

According to schematics both should be near 20v input \ 8V output.

    Weird things at work here

  • SONY TA-F319R amp problem

Have a weird issue with this one:

Amp doesn´t allow me to select ANY input.
When I press input selector button (AUX, TUNER, ie), that LED lights, but only while the button is pressed. When I release it, LED goes off, and amp doesn`t work (since there`s no input selected I guess).

How can I determine if that´s a selector problem, or protection is activated or maybe something else?
When I leave it on, output transistors remain completely cold.

caps CV10, CV11,CV12 and CV13 give 0.03 reading (diode mode).
Is one shorted or that´s normal?

Don´t know history, bought it cheaply hoping I can fix it for myself.

I did some "plugging and unplugging" live, too. Yeah, I know, but somehow I lose my nerves, and I regret it later. I´m very calm person, but get really frustrated when something I´m working on doesn´t go my way. Can´t get rid of that stupid habit.

Done all sorts of reseating, but haven´t thought of the SMD components down there, I must give it a look.
    Any advice on that?

After more playing with cables it developed a vertical blue line on the right side. Just stays, doesn´t flicker or change colour.

So my T-con arived, and I fitted it.
Got old problem but only left (flickering) side of the image.
    Looks like this

I should be able to fix flickering with tape, so far I got to this:

But only left half of the image works. Tried 4 different ribbon cables, wiggling buffer flat cables, no change at all. Only dead black.

I believe shorted panels usually are white? Plus, I had perfect image on the right side when I got TV......

I found pins that I shorted while wiggling one of the flats.
5-6 of them, too, I managed to peel them of cable unfortunately.
They are on the T-con side, which probably killed something on T-con, a possible reason why I have no image whatsoever anymore.

I ordered a new T-con, so I hopefully can start from scratch

Got this fine set (smart, 3D, wifi) with following problem:
    flickering upper 2/3rds of screen.

When I´d remove right T-con flat, I´d have left half of the image without flickering in the upper part.
When I´d remove left T-con flat, I´d have distorted and flickering right half of the image.
Any movement on tab bonds or T-con flats changes nothing at all.

However, while I tried to take photos today for badcaps.com, I lost picture entirely. Wont show menu or anything. T-con gets warm, still.
    And has backlight.
    Again, any movement...

    Many thanks, guys.

...and I have noticed that, when static image is long-time on screen (YouTube),
then silhouettes of the image (rectangles) are visible over the
new screen (cable TV) in the clouded area.

  • SAMSUNG LE40B620.... clouding?

    Hi everyone!

Got this TV, has on-screen black stains which look like clouds.

Is this actually a screen problem or something that could be repaired?
Screen is not cracked or anything, and picture is normally visible beneath stains.

    Thanks a lot!...

  • Re: philips 32hf7875/10 blocked?

Here is an update for reference of others in need:

There is an option in TV menu which sets security level to STANDARD/HIGH.

When STANDARD, you can use a special code for your TV (Google) and unlock it.

When HIGH, you MUST HAVE setup remote control, no workaround.

What I did is that I simply locked keys on TV which I could by then use to acess the GUEST version of the menu with only couple of options. Would have to find setup R/C anyways.
Now, hopefully I will order the right one from...

Yeah, possibly. However, I had menu unlocked when I got it. And I can still change inputs, channels, volume, and other stuff. Only since I fiddled with settings it says blocked.

    Did a google research.
As far as I can figure out, these SETUP remotes for Philips are simply remotes that can be SET UP for various devices (via codes)?

But someone had to stumble upon these issues?

  • Re: philips 32hf7875/10 blocked?

    Nice

Maybe that´is why it was cheap in the first place.
I do not speak Italian, but I am sure there was also no search programs and similar options in the menu. Only picture, sound, and this option I have used so cleverly.

Can anyone confirm that I have to buy one more remote for TV to work properly, aside of having one already?

    Thanks

  • philips 32hf7875/10 blocked?

Bought this TV cheaply, and it came with italian menu setting.

Found wierdly litlle options in menu, and while fiddling with it, out of curiosity,
turned the option "BLOCK THE BUTTONS" ON.

Now I can not acess the menu anymore, can use VOL and CH controls on remote, change inputs and all, but cant access the menu, neither from remote or TV-button. When I try, it says "blocked".

Any insight on this or curiosity killed the cat
