Samsung Syncmaster 245 B+ not working

Hello Every,

I have an Samsung Syncmaster 245B+.
The Display Button have an BlueLED.
Then I power on the light comes up and immediately light goes off.
The Screen stay black. I opened the case and no capacitors was blowing up, and looks good. I changed btw all capacitors but not the biggest one in the middle 450V 82uf. I cleaned the pcb and test it but nothing changed.

I saw yellow/brown glue on the board but don't know how I can remove that. Read here about that i must remove it. The Monitor is about 5/6 years old and have an good 16:10 1920x1200px resolution and I want it to repair.

My Multimeter was an present from an friend and not so good one. The V=== can only measure 250V so I buy newer one but it will coming tomorrow. So I cant measure the biggest capacitor yet.

I test the two transistor DB801 and DB802 while this was also in glue. I removed it slightly with an scalpel and desoldering it to measure.
Two transistors have following color (brown, black, yellow, gold) I think it is 10kohm +- 5%. One of them have 9,54 the other have 9,89 and I think it is good.

Please, then one of you have an suggestion for me, feel free and give me a try and tell me.

It looks like you did not remove the glue on the 24V power supply high voltage section in picture #1 lots of glue on that blue cap which will burn out badly.

The rectangular blue cap for the 24V power often lost its capacitance too which causes not to have 24VDC output.

It looks like you did not remove the glue on the 24V power supply high voltage section in picture #1 lots of glue on that blue cap which will burn out badly.

This is my question:
I saw yellow/brown glue on the board but don't know how I can remove that.
Please can you give me an howto to remove this shitty glue?

Hi,

after I waited a long time and no one give's me an direction how i can remove the yellow/brounish glue I try it self with ISO PROPANOL Alcohohl, Toothbrush and an little Clockworkscrewdriver. I hope i damaged my PCB not so many as it is.

It takes about 2 hours and I use an magnifying glass. Look at the attached photos. It looks horrible but PCB Board is not so damaged. Today my new Multimeter will arrives to me and I can look closer and can measure.

Hope now my work was not too bad.

I removed the hardened glue with small flat blade screw driver and small pliers, then use alcohol and stiff brush to get the rest off the board.

Hi Every,

I measured now.

On the 5,4V pin I have 0.00
On the 24V+ pin I have 0.00

The biggest capacitor in the middle with 450V 82uf have 323V

All other capacitors I had changed btw not the biggest one.
Any suggestions?
