I've got a Viewsonic G810 and when I start it up, the monitor will make a popping sound and the picture will jump a little bit. When I say pop, it's not the degaussing coil firing. It's a different sound more like a snap. This seems to die down once it's been on for awhile but still shows up periodically once it's warmed up. I have been told that this might be the flyback. Any thoughts?

Re: Viewsonic G810 pop/jump from cold
You're right. Unfortunately this is going into an old arcade cabinet and they want authenticityI'm going to check the flyback and see. How tough is it to replace the flybacks on these things? I was checking my storage shelf and it turns out I actually have a replacement flyback for one of these sitting in my workshop.

Re: Viewsonic G810 pop/jump from cold
Changed the flyback, got nothing. The flyback looks like it might have been from a different unit. Slightly different design, the 5 pins off from the U shaped set of pins didn't exactly line up. Any suggestions on where I can get the actual flyback for one of these?
