I need to get a bin/rom file from a Dell bios to modify, I have run into a PFS extractor in this forum. When i run the path it just says "Working... Done!" but no file is created.

by openmindedhi,
I have been trying to fix an issue with a Dell XPS 9500 board that has an infamous error 43, meaning the dGPU doesn´t start properly.
I think it's an 1650 or 1660 NVidia card.
In my infinite wisdom I thought I was replacing the BIOS chip ( one board wasn´t able to store the service tag ) but I saw now that it was the UV 31 chip I tried to replace not the actual BIOS UV 8.
I got on to that via : https://***********/threads/xps-15-9500-la-j191p.41086/
The UV31 chip is mentioned there, I was unable to take it off in one piece from the working board...-

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by hyperwoodHi everyone,
I’m looking for a 2 MB BIOS dump for a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 16ARH7H / Legion 5 with mainboard NM-E471 Rev. 2.0.
The BIOS chip is a Winbond W25Q16FW (1.8V, 2MB) and it's completely unresponsive / bricked. I tried recovery via USB but no success. Now I want to reflash it externally using a CH341A programmer.
I already found 32MB dumps (e.g. from Vinafix and Badcaps), but they are too large for the chip – and the last 2MB in those files are just FF FF FF....
✅ What I need:- A working 2MB BIOS dump
- Matching NM-E471 Rev. 2.0, e.g. JY575

by owegner75Heya, I'm looking to reflash the BIOS on a Dell Latitude 3590 P75F001 (Service tag: 1HBSDP2). Does anyone have the BIOS for this laptop?
Additionally, I'm not 100% sure I've properly located the BIOS chip. I've found a chip marked as 'UC3' on the mobo, which is labelled as 'WINBOND 25Q128JVSQ 1748' and located right next to where the touch pad's ribbon cable connects to the mobo (see pic). If anyone can verify that this is in fact the correct chip that would be wonderful....-
