Dell XPs 9500 UV31 dump request

    hi,

I have been trying to fix an issue with a Dell XPS 9500 board that has an infamous error 43, meaning the dGPU doesn´t start properly.
    I think it's an 1650 or 1660 NVidia card.
In my infinite wisdom I thought I was replacing the BIOS chip ( one board wasn´t able to store the service tag ) but I saw now that it was the UV 31 chip I tried to replace not the actual BIOS UV 8.
I got on to that via : https://***********/threads/xps-15-9500-la-j191p.41086/

The UV31 chip is mentioned there, I was unable to take it off in one piece from the working board so I do not have an image to flash to any new chip.
Does anyone have an image for it?

Interestingly, after moving the UV31 from the board with 43 error to the board with service tag not saving problem, I was able to save the service tag but the NV43 error occurred on it too.
So it seems this chip has to do with both.
Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Was anyone able to dump that chip? I might be able to make a dump of it with the 43 error but then I would have to solder it off again. I ordered new chips and have a programmer so it would be great if anyone has a dump. I have two boards that need it. It's very likely to fix the 43 error issue, which is what many people have reported ( and under warranty Dell would replace the motherboard )

hi, I'm afraid I do not have any. The bios chips are on the boards and seem fine, I cannot dump them without desoldering. I tried to make dumps from Windows but it never worked, the chip wasn´t properly detected.
At the moment when I tried to replace it, I thought it was the main BIOS chip and the one I tried to replace broke. The other is the one giving the 43 error.
I assumed the BIOS was bad because it wouldn´t store the service tag ( but as described above, changing the vbios seemed to have fixed it ).
It's a 6 GB 1650 or 1660 (Ti). If it's helpful I can try to solder of the 43-error vbios chip again and try to dump it with a flasher ?

I don´t have many other options. Must be someone that has a backup ?
            Thank you

in case anyone is not aware, a VBios dumop can be made straight from Windows with for example GPU-z and even uploaded online. Unfortunately nobody did yet.

hi, is anyone able to help by making a vbios dump with gpu-z ? Dell XPS 9500, 10th gen 1650 and 1660 mobile.
I found a few links but I know there is also the XPS 9=7590 I believe that has such BIOS, does anyone know if those would be compatible?

                I found : https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/236825/236825 ( 1660 ti mobile, 6gb )
                and : https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/261028/261028

If anyone can confirm these should work on the 9500 I would be very happy and dumps from your computers are still highly appreciated!
                Thank you

in the mean time I wrote the second link to the chip, placed it and the laptop went on and showed the card.
Just like before after a reboot the error 43 came up.
I tried to heat the ram chips and the actual dGPU chip without success - even with 2 RAM chips less it behaves the same.

It makes me wonder if the vbios is stored elsewhere too.
I am still happy to get a link to a 1650 Ti Mobile Bios from Dell from the XPS 9500. Thank you
