    ASUS PG27U MONITOR

First, i dont work on monitors only on laptops and that also for a hobby. So, i received this monitor in the title and it was completely dead, and power supply when used was going off to a power protection. I found that one of the voltage regulators for backlight GS9238 is dead, so i replaced it and monitor is working fine now. But...on the main motherboard first thing i tested was a main power rail and after power jack there is one mosfet Nikos PD537BA. The thing is when i tested all pins of that mosfet are shorted in between. Now when i plug the adapter the monitor just goes on. I dont think its normal or? On my old monitor i have a power button but this monitor seems not to have it. So, is it meant to be like that? but if it is normal then it doesnt make sense to use mosfet there and short all three pins!? I believe that mosfet is dead but I am not sure/ dont understand. Thx in advance.

What a question? If all the legs of a MOSFET are shorted, they are usually replaced with new ones!
