Hi people, would like your opinion on this. a friends 17in Acer V173b monitor as got a one pixel wide horizontal line going across the screen. It is right in the middle of the screen and is present all the time with or without a pc connected to it. For example if i unplug the monitor cable i still get the line across the screen whilst it's displaying the "No Input,Check Cable" message.
My thought is a bad panel, i have had it apart to check the flat cable that goes to the panel pcb, tried reseating it, no luck. And have pressed on all the tab bonds hoping to find a place that would clear the line, again, no luck.
Again, this is a very sharp line that looks to be only one pixel in width, would you agree that it's most probably a bad panel, or could something else cause the same issue?
