Erratic behaviour on Benq fps 567 LCD.

Sometimes the monitor works fine but then it comes up no signal then returnes to normal then no signal then normal every 2 seconds and keeps going for a while. I suspect a short somewhere but am unsure where. i havent yet taken off the back but might if it is easy to fix. It was a good display untill it <CENSORED>ed up a few months ago.

    Macbook A2179 820-01958
    by Instafixx
    Hi,
Have a Macbook A2179 with liquid damage. Customer showed it some shop which has done an ultrasonic cleaning of the board.
The board pulls 0V but doesnt turn on. No Fan SPIN. NOT IN DFU.

I checked the Power Sequences below and found this -

Once a valid external power source (Charger or battery) is connected, the following rails will come online.
PPBUS_G3H: Normal voltage is ~12.6v on the charger with the battery disconnected. Produced from the ISL9240 (U7000, which uses PPDCIN_G3H as its VIN.
PP3v3_G3H_RTC: Normal voltage is ~3.3v. Produced...

Aspire 5742G - erratic behaviour, dunno what to try anymore
    by Dan81
    As the title states:

I have here an Acer 5742G, mainboard model NEW70 LA-5891P rev 1.0. CPU is an Core i5 430M, GPU is Radeon HD6370M (aka Mobility HD5470). Other specs include 4GB of DDR3 and a 320GB WD Black.

    Issues:

    - powers and runs from anywhere ranging to 10 seconds up to 3-5 minutes or so
    - fan runs at full speed

    What I have tried:

    - reflashed both main BIOS and EC at least 10 times, same behaviour across at least three diferent BIOS versions - 1.07, 1.23 and 1.30 (since the BIOS flasher reports PEW71)...

HP Power Supply 6632A: Fast Mode vs Normal Mode?
    by cook
    FAST MODE vs NORMAL MODE

I have recently acquired a HP 6632A DC power supply. I am just beginning to use it and I have been reading the manuals for it. It is the first power supply I have ever owned or used. I am a very beginner hobbyist and do not have an engineering background, as may be obvious by my question...

I can't seem to understand what the actual use is for the 'Fast Mode' or the 'Normal Mode' on the power supply. Although the manual states what the two modes do from a engineering/technical standpoint, I don't know enough to understand what it all means,...

HP 250 G7 - Battery Issue (Lid behaviour)
    by Federause
    Hi everyone,
I have an HP 250 G7 for assistance. I've changed the battery (the old was dead) with a not-original.
It has a particular behaviour that I've never seen:
With the lid open, the voltage is present on the relative pins. Upon a time I close the lid, after 5-10 sec. the voltage drops down to 0. If I re-open the lid, the battery keeps stuck in this situation. I have to connect the power supply to "resurrect" the battery. In this way, I can power on the laptop without any problem and also use it without the power cord. If i shutdown the laptop, keeps it with the...

GIGABYTE X299 AORUS ULTRA GAMING - SATA PORTS 4-7 NOT WORKING ???
    by DynaxSC
    Hi,

I have the above mentioned bord after repair, which was related to a lot of missing smd devices on the back of the board.
There were almost 20 devices missing, caps, resistors and some diodes/mosfets.
The board is generally working now, all PCIe ports are working, Windows installs normally.

However I have a problem with SATA ports 4-7 (the board has 8 SATA ports) - disks are not beeing recognized by the BIOS neither by Windows (which is usually normal in case BIOS does not recognize them).
The SATA 4-7 driver network is quite simple chipset<->buffers/drivers<->SATA...
