Hanns G HG281D - Starting to go black and back to normal!

I have 2 Hanns G HG281D LCD monitors. Both are having the same issue. They're not both hooked to my pc, just one. The other was my father's.

I dunno if it's important, but in Poland we are sitting at 230 V AC, 50Hz main line voltage. The power supply output to the monitor is the same I'd imagine, no matter where you are.

When I turn it on, it goes normal for a few seconds. Then the screen goes black, after a few seconds it goes back to normal, then back to black again.

It alternates between black screen and normal screen in random intervals and each state also lasts a random amount of time sometimes the black screen can take up to 5 min. or more to go to normal.

I've often read it's the capacitors in those monitors. My father is tech- and electronics-savvy so I'm sure we can repair it, however, we need to start somewhere, and that's where we are clueless.

So, what do you think the problem is? How to we go about it?

If it's the capacitors, what kind of capacitors do we need and which ones (as in on what board? There's a few boards in there. Logic board, power supply board, etc.)

First thing is to type HG281D into the search engine and read some of the threads
This one seems to cover most problems and tests.

It probably is dried out caps - one problem is they are hidden behind a heatsink.

When you are ready to proceed you will need to post clear pictures so we can help troubleshoot this with you.

The 220v mains is important please can you update you profile and put it in there

    Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back (in the same orientation) and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Sony KD-65X7000E - Screen double images for first few minutes then back to normal
      by beetle1303
      Hi,
I have gotten this Sony KD-65X7000E TV completely dead. According to owner TV was working fine and suddenly blackout and not able to power on again.
Checked and found D751 rectifying diode shorted, replaced and now power up and working almost normally:

      1) On power up - display double images, and flicker once every few seconds.
      2) After 3-4 minutes at this state - display suddenly back to perfectly normal (although there are few horizontal lines at the bottom of screen).
      3) Leaving on for few minutes, power off and on again will repeat the same...
