How to Fix DCLCD DCL9B 2 Seconds to Black

Thought it might be useful to post a successful repair procedure for this monitor.

The monitor was exhibiting classic 2 seconds to black symptoms. Turn it on and you would get a picture for 1 or 2 seconds then it would go Dark.

I recapped the board using all panasonic low ESR capacitors. Everything on the board was replaced except for the (3) 1uf caps.

Problem was gone. Monitor was tested for 24 hours with no problems and a nice picture.

A picture of the front of the board is attached with the capacitor values labeled.

Good luck if you have the same symptoms and monitor.

LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.
    by Rick_1234
    Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
    by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Sony xbr-65x930e faded to black; now has backlight but no picture
    by kerberos137
Hopefully someone can help me out. This tv was working perfectly until a few weeks ago. At some point, the TV just faded to black, but sound continued playing. It almost looked like smoke on the screen as it faded from the bottom left corner toward the top right. Took only a second or less, but wasn't instant. After restarting, it turned back on and worked fine for another day or two. Then it happened again more or less the same way, but in a slightly different direction, again with sound continuing. I thought it was working fine after another restart, but looked a bit dimmer than before. Then...

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
    by ttmi100x
    Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

    Upon closer inspection...
