    diode search

    Hi folks
I have a Optiquest Q9B2 That goes black after 15 seconds all caps test very
good on my esr meter. I testing 2 diodes on the inverter side and found voltage going both ways

diodes have SR240 upm can not find them all I find is
SCHOTTKY DIODES SR240 is this the same? how would I find out correct amps and volts for new diodes.

    Re: diode search

Hi - dont really understand the question Does the marking on your diode say SR240upm
and you cant find that or you cant find one to buy
SR240 is as you say a shottky diode it is rated at 2 Amp 40 volts hence the name S R 2 40

A picture would have helped - does it look like the one in this datasheet

Yes it is, here is a picture I am also wondering about the letters upm or
should I just order sr240 I am also having trouble finding a supplier That in the US

      Thanks selldoor

Diode marked as "E57".........not able to find it by reference
            by Francesc V.
            Hi:

I have what it might seem a zener diode. It's marked as E57, but I haven't found any reference that might match my observations.

I've took one from the same circuit and tested isolated with the power supply and a 1k resistor. with 10V, the possible zener stays at 6.6V.

            It seems a SOD123 package. It measures (2.6mm x 1.6 mm).

            Any idea? it's a 6.6V zener?

            Hi everybody.
I'm trying to fix this toothbrush that doesn't wanna start. And I need your help.

Just to inform you that I'm supperbeginner

First photos are from internet because I did not took a photo of whole board.

I have noticed that fuse marked with "E" near the battery pole is bad and decided to short it with a "proper calibrated wire" as one would say.
Now, when I apply 1V from the power supply, limited to 500mA, one of the component stick out from the rosin mist. CHC N2AB (or some variation of that letters) is the hottest...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
            by PantherDave
            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

            Diode identificatiion.
            by Henriquez
            Hello,
Can somebody identify the diode D3 on the picture?
After googling for weeks now, with my limited knowledge of diodes, trying to go just by the color coding (white-green), I still cannot find something that looks similar.

It is on a VFD display and so far:
            - I have verified that it is broken, since it reads 0,058v both ways with multimeter in diode mode.
            - I also measured the D3 on a functioning VFD module and that one does read 0.488v one way.

So, if anyone could identify the diode or enlighten me about what else I could be measuring (with...
