Viewsonic VA1912wb problems with different power board

I replaced the bulging CapXon caps: 220uF & 25V (three) and 1000uF & 25V (two). All five pictures were taken after replacing the caps. I used one by Samwha, one by Elna, and the three 220uF were from ... Chemicon?

    I left the Taicon caps alone: 2200uF & 10V, 1000uF & 10V, and 330uF & 25V.

There was one small CapXon capacitor but I wasn't able to read its capacitance and voltage because of the epoxy covering it. I suspect it's 22uF & 50V, but the board I have isn't the same one featured in these two URLs:

    https://www.hobbymods.com/store/inde...ent-parts.html

    http://lcdalternatives.auctivacommer...-P1660488.aspx

I want to confirm the small capacitor on MY board is 22uF & 50V. I'd also love to know which of the Taicon capacitors should be replaced.

I turn on the monitor and see a flicker of backlight. I failed to see an image, but didn't have my flashlight to see whether the image was present without a backlight. Power LED goes from steady green to steady amber.

I still miss my ESR Micro.

    Thanks for reading!

    1) Search for your board on this site. The DAC-19*** has many threads here and you may find an identical revision.

    2) IC201 and IC202 look like they are running very hot. Some browning is normal, but you may want to check to see if they are shorted or not. Replacements are available on ebay. 2 for $4 + free shipping.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

I'll be looking at the threads that mention the DAC-19M008 board. Mine ends with AF and its revision is 01A.

I also replaced the Taicon capacitors as well as the 22uF (50V) capacitor.

I didn't change the behavior. I still get a flicker of backlight, and I failed to see an image. LED went from green to amber as expected.

I still have yet to check IC201 and IC202.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

        by Hakuu
        Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

problems with LG OLED 55EC930V, t-con board LC550LUD-LGP1
        by randaz81
I have an LG OLED 55EC930V.
The problem started a couple of days ago: tv working, but no video, only audio.

I opened the tv and I checked the parts. The mainboard has the red led on, which means that it working correctly. The power board supplies 24V correctly.

I focused my attention on the t-con board, LC550LUD-LGP1, I disconnected it to observe it carefully, no signs of damage. Then I mounted it again and I reconnected to the tv.

After this, the tv started to show a different behavior: it turns on and then, after few seconds, it turns off....
