    Viewsonic VX2235WM

I think I've read everything available on this sight for My monitor and this is definitely a lot of info.

    Here we go :

Bought this (1of3) VX2235WM new a few years ago.

Symptoms : Screen 6mos ago started going BLACK. I could hit reset and it would come right back. Eventually reset stopped working. Monitor is still recognized by my pc just have no screen to trail a mouse across.

After reading as much as I could on your site I pulled out board with all the capacitors in it and looks like there are a few that can be changed.

I'm confident I can replace the Caps. What I am confused about is What caps to get. When I goto Badcaps.net the numbers are mind boggling.

Is there a cap kit for this monitor or can one be made ?
Does this board seem to have a cap problem after seeing the board and does the cap problem match the symptoms?

Thank you very much for any help.

Buying caps from badcaps.net supports the forum. The below was written for digikey, but the same principle applies. The badcaps store caters towards motherboards and sometimes doesn't have the higher voltage caps that lcd monitors and TV require.
