I have Envision G19LWK that was given to me for free. Initially, the monitor would only power up for about 3 seconds then go into standby. This turned out to be bad ccfl's so, I replaced them. The power/display board appeared to be fine also. I reassembled the monitor for testing, and discovered that the monitor worked, but with a heavy yellow tint. I tried resetting the color settings to the defaults ,but that made no real difference. Something I notice is that the OSD displays all of the colors on it correctly with no yellow tint. I think the issue is with how the monitor processes signal color but I have no clue what to check for to fix this. The yellow tint appears on both the vga and dvi inputs. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

by momakaNormally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow.
But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

by dfranksHi everyone. I have an AOC(?) Envision 24" computer monitor, model TFT24W90PS, Product name G416. Its worked fine for years but now has a yellow tinge on the screen. I tried various adjustments via the monitor controls but no good. I swapped the monitor with another to see if it was the video card or video cable but other monitor looks fine.
I have it apart right now looking at the boards. I have replace the electrolytic capacitors on the inverter board but still same problem. All of the electrolytic caps on the power supply (and inverter board) visually look ok, no bulges or leaks....-

by valscuHello,
I have an Eizo SX3031W monitor and after a period i had problems with the tcon board. I did reflow, it went well for a while after but the problems appeared again. The second reflow attempt was a failure, the tcon board stopped working. In the meantime, I bought a perfectly functional Samsung 305T monitor from which I took the tcon board and installed it in the Eizo monitor. Since I turned on the monitor, the blue color appeared in the background instead of black. And also in Windows, appears blue instead of black. I tried various settings from the monitor and driver settings but...-

by wattageHello Badcaps Community,
I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.
The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...-
