        Re: samsung 244t power board

Hi, what a coincidence. I have the same monitor (silver 244t) and today it wouldn't power up. The little led green light is on but screen is black (no back-light).

Also, I noticed when pushing the power switch on the front that the green LED light doesn't go off. But of course if I turn the main power switch off (the one located next to the power plug) then the green light on the front goes off.

May I ask if your monitor exhibited the same issues and would you say from what I've described my power board is in need of repair?

Chances are, it is a similar fault...looks like you are going to have to open, and some photos, using 'managed items',are always helpful..please do not post photos in line.

I'm having exactly the same issue on a silver 244T..have a look at my thread and see if my other symptoms match yours

              Re: samsung 244t power board

One monitor had the green light but never lit up at all and the other 244t had a pic but was making a buzzing short like noise which affected the picture. It flickered huge.
Both had bulging caps on the power board but the monitor that flickered had a bad lead going to the 450v main caoacitor which broke off as i removed it.
I replaced All the caps and problem solved. The values i posted are correct and the item # from digikey are:
              2200uf 10v p5522-nd
              100uf 25v p5544-nd
              47uf 63v 565-1350-nd
              1000uf 50v (didnt have 35v) p5575-nd
              47uf 50v p10321-nd
              10uf 50v p5567-nd
              100uf 450v 565-1481-nd
              100uf 10v p5517-nd

                Re: samsung 244t power board

Yep, it sounds like I need new caps. I have yet to open the case but it sounds like you and Tuk have the same issues as I do.

I'd like to know if its easy to remove the power board and should it be removed when replacing the caps? I ask because I'd like to take just the board over a friends house to have him replace the caps rather that taking the whole monitor over there.

Also, in the first post of this thread it states there are "1000 Radial 4" yet in the following post it only shows the location of three 1000uf caps. So do I only need three or is there actually four and you just happened to omit where the fourth one goes?

Thanks for all the help and for posting the part numbers.

you have to remove the board to get access to the underside( where the solder is )

                    Re: samsung 244t power board

There is a total of 13 caps which includes the 100 450v. I only listed the part #'s not how many.

                    4 - 1000uf with 3 @ 35v(i had to order 50v) and 1 @ 25v
                    p5544-nd is the 1000uf 25v
                    p5575-nd is the 50v
go to dig-key and search the part# to see if the values are correct

And yes i still have all the old caps.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:

                      Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

                      Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

                      Anybody...

Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...
