Yep, it sounds like I need new caps. I have yet to open the case but it sounds like you and Tuk have the same issues as I do.

I'd like to know if its easy to remove the power board and should it be removed when replacing the caps? I ask because I'd like to take just the board over a friends house to have him replace the caps rather that taking the whole monitor over there.

Also, in the first post of this thread it states there are "1000 Radial 4" yet in the following post it only shows the location of three 1000uf...

Hi, what a coincidence. I have the same monitor (silver 244t) and today it wouldn't power up. The little led green light is on but screen is black (no back-light).

Also, I noticed when pushing the power switch on the front that the green LED light doesn't go off. But of course if I turn the main power switch off (the one located next to the power plug) then the green light on the front goes off.

May I ask if your monitor exhibited the same issues and would you say from what I've described my power board is in need of ...
