    LG L1811S fast blinking LED

    Hello everybody,

I just get a LG L1811S with the green LED flashing 2 times per second.
I managed to get the service manual and uploaded it here.
As you can see in the service manual, there are 3 boards: the power board, the logic board and the inverter.
Here are the tests I performed:
    - Power board disconnected from everything: the 12V and the 5V are perfectly stable and there is a fast ticking (I think it's coming from the main transformer, about 5 times per sec.).
    - When power board connected to the logic board, the 12V varies between 11.8 to 12.1, and the 5V from 4.6 to 4.7. The sames voltages are going to the inverter. The ticking slows down too 2 per sec, as the green LED.
    - When the inverter is not connected, no changes: I don't think the problem comes from it.
    - The voltage on pin 1 of U270 (74F14 IC) is from 2.6V to 4.3V. The output of the pin 2 (0.4V to 1.5V) seems to go to the panel board (with the control buttons and the LED) where it varies from 0.3 to 1V after a resistor (I think this cause the LED to blink). I didn't manage to see where the input on 74F14 pin 1 comes from, maybe from the GM2121 IC? I think the problem is upstream.

I followed the "no power" section in the troubleshooting section (but actually there is power!), and at the step 3 the pin 103 of U203 (GM2121, the main IC) is at a solid 2.2V...

I don't really know what to conclude with all this, and what to do next.

    Any help would be appreciated!

By the symptoms something on the signal board is overloading the power supply. As a first step, disconnect the LCD panel from the signal card. Beyound that, I would suspect the small caps near the SMPS controller.

Pictures of your power supply will help us help you. At least 1000 x 1000 pixels, well lit and sharp, and attached using 'Manage Attachments' - below the test entry area.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.

... i totally agree. I repair an lg1715s with same problem and fix it changin this caps. Another test if this not solve it, i'll try to change de double-diode on secondary (labeled as D906). good luck

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

        Hello friends,

I have this laptop AMD Platform starting & not posting, fan spinning.

When i press power button, the board get almost immediatly 0.5A ~ and board get stuck at 0.5A with power button led blinking indefinitly.
If i stop the computer (pressing 5s power button), board stop and when i restart i get approx 0.37A ~ and

I try to reflash the bios with no luck, same result, and i try disabling onboard ram (i remove resistors accordling schematic), no more progress.

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
        by Hakuu
        Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

        More Details

        TV Model - LG OLED77G1PUA

Got the same exact TCON board from TVPartsToday and replaced it. But didnt transfer the EPPROM data (didnt...

        Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
        by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
        CN6401
        Pin 01 NC
        Pin 02 NC
        Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
        Pin 04 "N/C"
        Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
        Pin 06 "GND": N/C
        Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...
