Hi all,
I hope you could help me out. I got a few years old Hitachi CML155XWV LCD monitor 6 months ago. It was working fine until one day it stopped working. Whenever I plug in the 12Vdc 4A power supply (which I have plugged into another monitor and works) the green monitor power status indicator and the backlight flashes for about 1/2 a second and then everything blanks out (I shined a torch into the LCD screen. There was nothing showing).
I managed to find a repair manual for this model online and followed the instruction and replaced a smd fuse F002, I0012 p channel enhancement mode mosfet and D020 5.6v zener diode in the power regulator section. I went through the troubleshooting flow charts again and all the voltages were shown as correct (i.e. they were all within +- 0.1v of the suggested readings, although 5.15V for the regulated supply VCC for the video decoder chip).
It still wasn't working, so I checked all the capacitors for bulging etc. No bulging were apparent anywhere. I checked all the fuses on the boards and they were all fine. I unplugged the inverter board, no LED or LCD display. This is the point I've gotten stuck!
I have attached pictures of all the PCBs, so if you wouldn't mind please help me out! Thanks!
