Acer AL2416W B Inverter Board MOSFET Damage

Hello all. I have this broken 24 inch bad boy (its HUGE! ) and I do not know if I can repair it.
You can shine a flashlight at the screen to see a very dim display, so I figure the power board and logic board are working correctly. Thus, I took the monitor apart and inspected the inverter board. Sure enough, the inverter board looks like it has suffered some damage. You can very clearly see this at Q6 as it looks like the MOSFET leaked some black substance.
Based on what you see, would it be worth pursuing this DIY repair with a 60-70 dollar budget and no tools (multimeter/soldering iron)?

Correct. Do you see the backlight flash on even briefly?

If you do not see the backlight flash on, there are a number of fuses on the inverter board which will require a multimeter for testing purposes.

If a fuse is bad, you will need a soldering iron, solder, desolder pump to replace the fuse.

As you mentioned, there could also be bad mosfets on the inverter board. This can be confirmed with a multimeter.

If you plan to do a "one of" fix, see if your friends/family have a multimeter/solder iron that you can borrow. However, if you plan to fix more monitors in the future, then you can easily buy tools for $60 or less.

PS. Most people will probably replace the capacitors on the inverter board as well with brands like Panasonic, United Chemicon, Rubycon, or Nichicon.

either replace the whole inverter (pretty expensive) or buy the tools, the mosfet(s) and fuses and replace it yourself..

datasheet for the Niko P5504EDG (which, judging by the 2nd pic, is clearly toast. black residue, discolored board and it even melted the solder and pushed it out at the tab)

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
        • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
        • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

MacBook Pro M1 Pro Logic Board 820-02100 Mosfet where to purchase?
        by prodigy83
        My reference only: TT10141.

Problem: I need to purchase a mosfet chip from board 820-02100 M1 Pro, that is supposed to be Q5820 but according to Digikey, the schematic diagram I sent them, neither are relevant to the actual mosfet specification I sent them. I just basically need to find this mosfet to purchase, I cannot find it anywhere and am hoping someone could point me in the right direction without have to purchase this entire allusive board. Already checked with Digikey, Mouser, Aliexpress, eBay. Any suggestions?

        Mosfet specs are as follows:

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
        by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...
