    In summation,

I got the new inverter (ZX421 small 4 lamp CCFL universal inverter for LCD) from ebay and now everything works fine. So, thanks to everyone who helped.

PlainBill, Thank you so much !

I just repaired an Elo Touchscreen ELO Touchsystems ET1725L 17" Touchscreen LCD ET-1725L with a sampo qpwbgl957idg-2 Inverter.

The monitor was turning on, and I could notice in some posititions with a flashlight that the image was there.

I measured the whole Sampo inverter, everything seemed allrigh, but i never got the 8V at the output of the AO4411 Mosfets .

Because of the suggestion of Plainbill e tested the 2.2uF capacitor with a capacimeter / ESR Tester , and Voila: 157 pf only !

Changed and it works like a charm !

Sometimes it´s not only the price of the spares: It´s getting things done.

I fould similar Sampo inverters on ebay in the price range +/- 35 dollars, and i could order it from china , but it´s so much better this way, not mentioning the time it would take and burocratics

Hope this will help someone with the same proble someday, somewhere

shoot i should have seen this sooner, i fixed one by replacing ALL the caps even the SMD electrolytics with polymer where i could and new 'lytics where i couldn't.
Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....

          Sony KDL-46BX450 Inverter Troubleshoot Logic
          by caseyjay_48
I am currently on a troubleshoot of 46” Sony KDL-46BX450 tv. I came back from Washington to Texas on medical emergency and had to leave all my tools up there. All I have is a couple of screwdrivers and a dvm. I wish to ask the community a troubleshooting question. Please forgive stupid questions as meds I am taking produce brain fog.
I have well maintained Sony KDL-46BX450. It went black one day. After turn-on, I get solid green light and Sony logo in screen center for about 1-2 seconds, then black. No blinking LEDs, no hissing. Flashlight test shows screen characters dimly viewable,...

Help choosing replacement transformer for Levoit 600S SMPS
          by learnmore
          Hello Community,

I'm attempting to repair the SMPS on a Levoit 600S air purifier. The transformer is likely open. It has six pins. 2 pairs on the primary side (one pair tested open) and 1pair of legs on the secondary side. Legs on the secondary side are spread wide apart (end-to-end). I've circled them in blue. Dimentons of the transformer are 22x23mm. Marking on the transformer are EE16 1.9mH-B. Fuse for the powerboard is fuse 250V 3.15A. I've been unable to find an exact match and I'm hoping for some help here to find a suitable replacment.

          Peace

is it ok to replace a dual output transformer with two single output transformers?
          by amelbye
Hi, some prestory: I was repairing an amplifier - a "Phil Jones Bass". It had some bad capacitors an a faulty power switch. Easy job. However upon putting it back together I screwed up. The connector from the 15V-0V-15V from the transformer is identical to the audio ouput from the preamp board to the poweramp board. I ended up putting +-15VAC into the preamp outputs frying some traces on the circuit board along with the power transformer The transformer is shorted. It blows the fuse immediately even with no load on the secondary.

          Now that's a challenge - luckily...

          Original Xbox 1.0 PSU: Foxlink FTPS-0002 Rev. B. — 12 V low, 5 V high — transformer?
          by ohren
          Hello!

I'm looking at an original Xbox PSU: Foxlink ftps-0002 rev. B. The 12 V output is too low, and the 5 V output is too (?) high. Unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope but only a DMM for diagnosis.

          Measured voltages with no load:

          After rectifier diodes
          12V: 6.17 V
          5V: 5.67 V

Secondary transformer pins AC measurement (really don't know if this says anything)
          12V: 2-2.5 V
          5V: 1.04 V

I also have another (working) Xbox psu from Delta. The same measures there, in order, being: 10.79,...

Is it possible for transformer substitution?
          by mikey5791
          Hi all,
Got this local made DC power supply (12/14V) given free as the transformer has melted. There is no marking or indication to identify what type or rating of transformer used.
Fyi,. I had a busted autogate mainboard with transformer with marking 13-0-13 . Is this the 13v dc type transformer?
          My questions are
          1. How do i test to see if the transformer is in good working condition?
          2. Can this transformer (marking 13-0-13) be used to replace the melted transformer on the DC power supply?
Hope you guys understand what i was asking. My intention is...
