    Samsung 225BW & 226BW CCFL Bulbs?

so i have fixed one 225BW by using the Screen from a 226BW i bought

i ordered the 6 Main caps that have been known problems and have gone through both 225BW & 226BW posts many times to see if it might be something else

the only thing i haven't done is check the fuse (green) but leaning towards it being the CCFL bulbs

my question is there anything i can do before ordering them because they are pretty expensive at $29.99 with 1 year warranty or the cheapest i've found is from China at $13.00/shipped but not sure if i should go for the cheaper version

also, are there any precautions to look out for when installing them, removing cover, etc.

here's a few pics and thanks again for all the help:
1st Left is Samsung 225BW with the 226BW screen & an Acer (never had problems with) *knocks on wood*

2nd is different deaktop altogether with ol school Dell Monitors hopefully will be replaced with the two 22" Samsung Monitors soon

Actually need the Panel Model number (i.e. LTN... LTM...) and/or the tube diameter & length (in mm's). Single tube or dual tube setup?

These are sold as individual tubes, wired tubes (specify plug), or complete assemblies.
    - Assemblies are pre-wired, shrink wrapped, end caps installed, and wired to the plug. You just unplug and remove the old one and replace and plug in the new.
    - Pre-wired tubes and you specify what plug you want.
    - Individual tubes require de-soldering, removal, replacement and re-soldering.

What is the problem with the unit(s).

What does "6 Main caps that have been known problems" caps mean?

Have you considered that all the caps need replacement except, perhaps, the mains cap?

I spoke with Lydia @ CCFL Warehouse recommended by members:
      http://www.ccflwarehouse.com/

Pretty sure it was the top set of numbers?
      1st monitor

      2nd monitor

Without wires since she said if there not brown, the ones on the Monitor can be used comes out to $29.99 for one

Also, asked about usage and she said that 15,000 hours on is not a lot for a monitor

The big three, and the other 3 within this thread:
      https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...t=6930&page=15

Current problem is both Monitors will turn on and turn off but the Blue light doesn’t blink, it will stay on

1.- I agree. Explain exactly what have you done to the units, and in one thread, not spanning over three of them.
2.- Why don't you make a working set from the 2 units you have if possible?
There are 10 kind of people in this world: those that understand binary, and those who don't.
          • ASUS ROG Maximus IX Code
          • Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz
          • 16gb GSKILL TridentZ RGB DDR4-3200
          • 1 M2 SSD + 2 WD Blue 1TB (Mirrored)
          • Windows 10 Pro x64
          • GeForce GT1050
            2 x Acer KA240H + 1 Vewsonic VP2130 21 (a cap replacement job )

Here's the Chi Mei panel datasheet for the M220Z1-L01.

You can buy the tubes as 4 individual pieces, and do it yourself, for the same money as one assembly.

            Yo Patch!!

Exactly why I hate "me too" threads. It is MUCH easier to work on 1 person's problems than to get tossed into the middle of a 16 page, 301 post epic tale. Keeping straight who's problem you're fixing is a bitch.

IMO - You have 1 or more failing tubes. It seems the inverter controller chip is doing one of 2 things. It sees an over-current -or- an excessive strike-time (too long to fire) and shuts down. If you have a working unit of the same size, you could swap them to that. Or one of the cheap-o PC case lights, that should at least give you a clue as to the weak tube(s).

I would start swapping tube assemblies to the unit that's still together and see if it will run. No need to disassemble, just plug them in one at a time to each output.

                Ha!
I've got a cracked Chi Mei M220Z1-L01 22" LCD Panel here (out of an Acer X223W).
CCFLs are fine. If you want them, let me know
They're already out of the panel.

please note that replacing them on that specific panel is anything but easy. you have to remove the metal back plate and disassemble the panel to get to them.

no easy slide-out on the side as i've seen on other panels, like LG/Philips

                  omg...i've already disassembled it

please tell me it wouldn't be shipping from Germany

the cheapest i've found is from China @ 13 bucks but still debating because Stateside seller has it for $30/shipped w/1year warranty and warranty is nice but price is double

anywho, please get back to me at your convenience...i will check PMs here or eMail me directly @: yongrayk@alumni.usc.edu

sent you PM as well Scenic
