A repair of my Samsung C32G53T Monitor

    Hello everyone!

Since I didn't find it anywhere and only found some YouTube videos on other monitors, I'd like to show you how I "repaired" my monitor.

I put the word repaired quotation marks because I really dont know if this is a permanent fix, since I just removed some resistors and did not really replace anything.

It was all about my monitor only showing weird vertical lines.

In my research I found out that some CKV lines seemed to be shorted. The recommended way to fix this was disconnecting them.

On the PCB were a bunch of resistors connected (to those lines?).

I tried out removing a bunch of them until I found the ones which seemed to be the issues. I then reconnected the rest of them.

    Heres a picture:

The monitor now seems to work again and I am super proud I did this and didn't waste $300 on a new monitor.

So guys keep motivaited to repair.

    Regards

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
    by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

Colorful LCD Vertical Lines on Samsung ue55es8090
    by Falki
Hello there, ive recently found an older 55inch Samsung SmartTV.
Sadly it has vertical lines at the left and one line in the middle-right.

I have already tested out the connections and have looked at the soldered ribbons of the LCD panel to see if some contacts got loose by pushing them a bit but with no success.
I have factory resetted the TV as well but also with no luck.

I am afraid that it is indeed a LCD Panel issue but there are NO scratches or any impact-marks..

A similar issue has been posted as well but also with no actual response ...

Samsung Curved monitor C27FG70FQU with garbled vertical lines on startup
    by jackster
I acquired a faulty curved Samsung C27FG70FQU which has the quite common problem of just showing weird vertical lines for a while after a cold boot.

The issue is pretty bad with this one and it takes about 15 minutes before things normalize and a proper image is displayed. Once a proper image is shown it will work 100% until the display is shut down or put in standby for a while and allowed to cool for a bit.

Even though this seems to be a quite common issue I haven't really found any information regarding what the root cause is and how to fix it. There is this video...

    Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
    by Rubenlily
    Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...
