    HP L1740 'No Input Signal'

Monitor turns on and then within 2 seconds displays a message about about there being no input signal. I have tested this monitor on multiple video sources same results.

Replaced all caps and all the c5707's

    Any ideas? Thanks....

Bad video input cable, source resolution wrong (unlikely), or problem with the logic card.

Are you the original owner of this monitor or did you get this from someone to fix?

Was the above the original problem or was there something else wrong that led you to change caps and c5707?

edit: Also, what did you use for the replacement caps?

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Like PlainBill has said before. Please post pictures of the two boards (power supply board and logic board). so we can see the problem. I was finally able to get my bad 1740s going. Two problems with my 1740s. Bad caps on power supply board and bad ccfls's
