Mitsibushi V51LCD Monitor Screen Tinted Red

I have a V51LCD monitor that turns on and works but the screen show the content but with a heavy RED tint. It can not be adjusted out using the OSD controls. Interesting enough the Menu/OSD shows up normally without the red tint.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Will post some pictures when I get home.

A red/pinkish hue/tint means one or more of the ccfls are dying.

Are inexpensive replacement CCFL's likely to be found? What supplier would you suggest?

        Thanks for your response retiredcaps!

Then, wouldn't the menu and onscreen display also be tinted red?

Exactly CRTfool. I seen this in a different post before and I think it had something to do with a reset on firmware if I'm not mistaken. I have to search for it now, thanks for the work. lol

I agree with your reasoning and I could be have dreaming, but I thought I saw a case here in the forum where the most of the screen showed a red tint, but due to the small size of the OSD, it wasn't affected.

It turned out to be the ccfl in that case.

Again, I could be dreaming or mixing up the cases.

I knew I had seen this somewhere. This post here ( https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...osd#post105307 ) is the one where I had seen that a reset cleared up a reddish screen problem.

Awesome, Any idea how to access the service menu to do a factory reset? I can access the regular OSD fine, can I get to it from there? Thanks.

Ok, so I performed the factory reset from within the OSD. You could see the screen change from the pronounced red to a yellowish tint. After picking up the LCD to move it from the desk I noticed that when I moved the end of the VGA cable the screen would tint blue, then yellow, green, and normal. I swapped the cable and and monitor looks like back to normal.

I never noticed the cable causing the screen to move to a red tint.... It was just always tinted red. Not really sure if the factory reset was an issue or just a faulty VGA cable all along. Either way, thanks to everyone for the suggestions and help!!!

Hello, I'm working on a new deskmod pc project and have a problem with my monitor, an AOC U34G3XM, well, I may have bricked it.

The monitor was dismanteled and the separate parts parts integrated in the desk. the screen panel alone is on the upper part, and main board/video board + power board on the back of the desk (not enough place on the cover to fit it)
At first everything was working smoothly, then I decided to change the connexion between the video board and the screen for a longer one. Still working fine

During another reassembly, I made a mistake, and...

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

                              Having this very weird issue.
The owner of this laptop complained about screen being intermittent when opening and closing, and has been using the laptop on a thunderbolt video connection since the screen failed.

I swapped with a working screen from an A2141 waiting for parts.

The Os exhibits this weird behavior where it boots to to 1/3 the status bar, then it makes the boop sound. It's at the log in but for whatever reason the desktop isn't loaded.

The laptop boots fine into recovery mode. I updated from Monterey to Sonoma and the laptop still has...

AOC 27 monitor Q27G2WG4 doesn't display logo or image on screen

Hello. I have a problem with my AOC 27 monitor, specifically model Q27G2WG4, which I have been using for 3 years. The monitor stopped turning on: when I turn it on, the backlight turns on, the indicator starts glowing white, but the logo on the screen does not appear, and there is no image. However, if I check in the Windows system, the monitor is displayed as connected and working. I tried connecting it via HDMI and DP, but the result remains the same. If I turn the monitor on and off multiple times, it will eventually start and work. However, when the monitor is working, there are no issues....
