    Samsung Soundbar HW-K550 stuck in power cycle loop

    Hey All!

    Having an issue with a soundbar (Samsung HW-K550) wondering if you guys could help. When you plug it in, it immediately starts a 2 second power cycle, where it will turn on, then off 2 seconds later, then on, over and over. I checked the output from the power cord and the adapter which seems to be fine.

    I can't find a service manual for that exact model, but I'm wondering where to start to look for issues... I have a scope and all the tools required to potentially fix it, but just not the knowledge

    I can post pics of the board/power supply if that helps...

      Start by attaching good clear pictures of how all the boards are connected together, the the pictures of each board, power supply, etc.

          ok well I was expecting to see a more familiar type of board for a power supply, big caps etc., the first pic shows where the adapter plugs in, the second is the bottom of that board. There is another board which looks like the more computer stuff, USB/wireless/display. I didn't take a pic of that one.

              The second picture is the Class-D amplifiers board.
              If you check the DC Voltage at the DC input jack, does the Voltage swing up and down drastically?
              What is the Voltage rating of the AC-DC adapter? 24VDC?

                  the voltage doesn't swing anywhere I measure there. Yes it's 24VDC... I put it all back together, made sure all the connections were tight. Now it seems to be working !? I don't know, I guess I'll see if it's just temporary...intermittent issues are the worst to troubleshoot

                      Hi,

                      My LG Soundbar, SK10Y, has somehow ended up in an endless "PLEASE WAIT" loop and I am now starting to suspect that the firmware is causing this, and I can't manage to connect via the app to push a new firmware in as it never really starts.


                      I can trick it to start via HDMI ARC and it actually starts up, flashes OPTICAL and then goes to ARC where the sound (including sub) is perfect, but the white led indicator keeps blinking and after 20 seconds it says "GOOD BYE" and shuts down.
                      During these seconds the function button is not working...

                      Yet another Samsung QLED Boot Loop

                      Samsung QLED QN50Q — purchased 2022 started experiencing a delay in the picture coming on in the morning less than 2 years later. Did not know the term boot loop at that time. As the loop delay ran into a few minutes did all the recommended troubleshooting, soft and hard reset, changing cables and outlet locations, no help. As the delay increased contacted Samsung tech group and allow them remote access the tv. Tech was moving too fast to see exactly what he was doing but this ultimately it was also no help. Lived with the delay until it stretched out over 6 hours. Pulled of off the back cover...

                      Ok, I have this Samsung 4K UN55NU7100F that is stuck in a reboot loop.

                      I know this is not a backlight issue since when I disconnect the power cable from the main board the power supply starts and the backlight is working just fine. Each of the 6 LED strip connectors measure 116 volts.

                      I've found that when I disconnect any one of the two LVDS cables going from the main board to the LCD panel (it doesn't have a T-CON board) it is working just fine (with no picture as you can expect).

                      On a few occasions I found that reconnecting the disconnected LVDS...

                      Samsung UE75TU6905 reboot loop

                      I have a Samsung UE75TU6905 from 2021, with a maximum of 10 hours of usage as it has been used as a presentation TV in the office. It started rebooting, the picture disappears, the sound continues for 2-3 seconds, and then it restarts (Samsung logo with Tizen OS), after which it returns to the previous activity. I tried disconnecting HDMI, antenna, WiFi, and using different power outlets, and it seemed to improve (or so I thought). Before, it happened occasionally, but now it happens all the time, so the TV stays on for a maximum of 30 seconds.

                      I read on Samsung's website (reviews)...
