Re: Altec Lancing ACS41
I still have this system on my computer. It has worked quite well over the years and still sounds superb. Music is smooth and clear. Newer systems I tried don't give me that 'thump' I like to hear. Good one, budm. -

Hello Redwire, can you tell me what to replace the KIA324P with and should I replace both, that's if I get them working again.Comment

Re: Altec Lancing ACS41
I know the LM324 has a gritty sound/mid-range blare to it due to the cross-over distortion so I change them out. Quad op-amp alternates:
LM837 is older and drop in. OPA4134 is very good as well.
The LM833 and OPA2134 are the high performance duals, to ditch the NJM4560 but it is not as bad.Comment

by David StroeI am trying to repair my monitor that shows image but the backlight is not turning on. I think either the power supply is not working properly or the LED strip is failing, which seems unlikely (the whole strip is off).
I really need help in finding the data sheets for this monitor's boards. The data sheets I need are for the following boards:
Power Supply: 715GA907-P03-000-001S and 715GA721-P01-000-0H4K
Main Board: 715G9500-M0C-B00-005K
T-CON Board: 19Y_270_EU3MQ_SR_V02_HF
If someone could please provide any of these data sheets, it would be awesome....-

by RaulnnCan you clean the internal sheets of a tv? I have a 58-inch TV and I don't know if it's worth cleaning the sheets. I have seen that it has dirt on the sheets and the leds are blown. I don't know if they look good when you clean the sheets. Thanks in advance.

by reformattI thought I'd throw out some of my personal experiences in the last 12 months with Intel iMacs, 2.5" SATA SSD drives and Fusion drive data recoveries.
As a backgrounder, Apple never fitted a 2.5" SSD's to these iMacs. Apple's SSD option was a system of 32GB NVMe blade drive (NGFF connector) and Seagate 1TB 2.5" HDD, married together in software to become a Fusion drive. Non Fusion systems have just the 1TB Seagate HDD.
So, the most common reason an iMac comes across my bench is because it's either ridiculously slow, or it fails to boot at all. The most...12-18-2024, 10:34 PM -

by yuzupatogikHello,
I have this old (2004?) Altec Lansing ATP3 and i would like to replace the capacitors. I have identified 34 out of the 36 of them as Samxon GR of various capacities and voltages.
I can't find datasheets for the Samxon in any of the following variants:
10000uF 25 v - this one i really want to replace because i suspect it is what causes a dull hum regardless of the volume knob position or if the source is plugged in. I am eyeballing the Rubycon 25PK10000MEFCGC18X35.5 for this purpose. So if i pay a 10x the price part for shipping i might as well go ahead and...-
