    Pioneer VSX-D812 Dead

I don't do a lot of repairs on audio equipment. I have a pioneer receiver that is dead, no power/standby. I get all my voltages on the AC side, nothing on DC. I get power going into transformer T51 but nothing after. I get no DC on either the power transformer or standby transformer.

I removed IC51, the 5.6v regulator and it tested good. I also removed and tested the relay and it is good. I attached a screenshot of the block diagram and the service manual. Could someone please give me some advice?
    thanks

duh, I forgot to change my meter to AC when testing the output of the transformers. Both transformers have AC voltage at the outputs.

Check "AC RY" and "AC WUP" signals.
You should also check voltage on power switch S505 to see if there is +2.4v

Thanks, I will do that and report my results.

. So what should the AC voltages be on the output of the transformers. I did remove T51 and put AC on the primary side and got about 14.5V AC across the secondary winding.

I get nothing on the AC RY pin, but I do get a signal on the AC WUP pin. See pic below.

I get no voltage on S505.

Does AC RY stand for AC relay?

Yes, AC RY is for AC relay.
Since you have no volt on S505, you need to check volt on pin 22 of IC401 or its power supply, VDD, L401 and D401.
If you have no voltage on S505, you can't turn unit on.

              UPDATE!!!

I finally got this unit working. I found I was not getting 120VAC across the primary winding on the standby transformer. I removed it and put 120VAC across primary, and got 14.6VAC on the secondary winding, so transformer was good.

I found a crack on the circuit board, in the power supply area. I used a jumper wire to fix the board and it now works.

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
                  by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Greetings to all, a while ago my TV was dead, it didn't turn on and the standby light was off, the next day it is working. But these days it no longer wants to turn on, I did some troubleshooting, I disconnected the main board, I checked the voltage on the backlight and there is 400 DC, when I connect it again the main board the voltage drops, in all that troubleshooting, miraculously the standby light comes on and the TV works. After an hour I check and test, I turn on the TV, the Stanby light flashes 3 times and it...

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                  by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

                  Sony STR-DB870QS standby transformer
                  by denisten
Hi everyone, i am a newbie here and i hope i will find the help i need. I have the above mentioned receiver with standby transformer's primary coil damaged. I have searched the net without success to find any tech data about this transformer. I have only the Sony part number1-437-313-11 and TAM Malaysia M0126. I guess i could find replacement for it, but i need to know the secondary coil voltages and VA. It is 220v on the primary. It has 5 pins on the secondary, the outer two are not used and i have 6.5 ohms between pins 2and 4, 3,9 ohms between 2 and 3, and 3,6 ohms between 3 and 4. Can someone...

                  LG C1 65'' dead standby
                  by jacobtc
I've owned this C1 from new since late 2021, and it has now suddenly started with the following symptom:
If power has been connected for a while, the red standby lamp turns off, and the tv wont turn on (no reaction from remote or button on tv).
If power has been disconnected for 5 minutes, the tv turns on fine, until turned off and left for a couple minutes, as the standby light will then turn off again.

I've seached and found that this is most likely a failing PSU, and I've seen repair services on eBay fixing these symptoms, so I am hoping that someone here has fixed...
