Hey guys, i have a JBL sub here. its a venue sub12 model.
These are known for bad caps, catching fire and so on.
I have repaired the board once, fixed the typical popping and clipping at low volume.
i repaired it a second time for another capacitor blowing and also catching fire, i replaced every cap except the two high voltage ones.
its here again because a transformer blew. The owner didnt use a power strip and it caught fire once again. i replaced c72 once again and it still sounds staticy and scratchy. its also very quiet compared to what it used to be.
anyone able to help me out a bit? all the currently installed caps look fine, transistors look okay etc.
