    Samsung AV-R720

I have a receiver that has some sound issues. When I connect a speaker to the from left I get normal sound. When I connect to the right speaker, I get very loud static and crackling and it sounds like a radio when you haven't tuned a station. I also noticed that when I connect the audio cables to the DVD audio input, I get sound from the speakers when I connect the white left channel but nothing on the red right channel cable. When I connect both, the sound volume drops a lot.

I checked the ESR on all the large caps and all good. I am suspecting AIC5(amp) or AIC1. Anyone have any ideas or am I on the right track?

    Here is schematic

I did some process of elimination and found that the front right channel is static or cracking really bad in all modes, CD,DVD,VCR. It works fine on the left channel in all modes. There is an op amp AIC5 that I suspect, or possibly capacitors AC13 or AC17.

    Anyone out there??

hello I'm no expert but I just googled your issue and it suggested a transistor problem. Did you compare working with non working? I'm very intertested to find what the problem is

        Re: Samsung AV-R720

Hi, I have just purchased this receiver, knowing it had this problem (noise in right chan). Other forums have indicated the problem to be a 100 pin dsp chip. It seems I have purchased a $5 set of banana jacks!....If anyone has found alternate solutions, I would greatly appreciate any guidance.
BTW: is there a typo in the owners manual, or do they spec power output at 10% distortion!?
        Thanks, Peter in Canada

Samsung QN75QN800AF doing constant reboots, and click sound from Connect One device.
          by Alper99
So here is the thing. Someone from a rich neighborhood posted a sale on a broken Samsung. It was doing re-boot all the time.
A web search revealed a very quick fix, so I bought it TV for $100.

First move was to get a new used Samsung Connect Box but there was no change on error.
I opened up the device, and what I saw was way different on what was on YouTube videos, in terms of complexity.

Now, I can replace all 3 board onboard, and give it a go, but that may also be a waste of money. I can get all components for $150

Below is the video of what...

Trying to Save - Samsung 65" The Frame (QN65LS03B) with no signs of life (One Connect Box)
          by KYBOSH
I picked this one up today.
Previous owner says no signs of life.
TV looks immaculate and its a 2022 model year so I thought maybe the one connect cable was damaged.
Got it home and put it on the Kill-A-Watt power meter and it was completely dead.

The TV model is QN65LS03BAFXZA - version: CB06
          The One Connect Box BN44-01066D / BN96-54788Q / BN39-02470A.

I immediately remembered EazyBone's Samsung The Frame TV no power....One Connect thread and am preparing myself to tear the One Connect open and hunt for dead parts.

          Will keep you all...

Samsung UN70NU6900F no picture and no sound
          by jchang
          Hi all

I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.

          Symptom:
          No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
          No sound at all.

          What I tried:
          1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
          by Ierwin
          Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...
