    dbx 1066 dodgy channel

This last spring, i grabbed this two-channel gate/compressor/limiter off eBay for almost dirt-cheap, as "faulty". Only needed a power supply re-cap

As it turns out though, it seems that channel 2 has some sort of issues with lower temperatures. I've had it hooked up into my system for a few months now, for testing purposes, as it were. And i noticed that, on cooler evenings, as i had my window open (less than 2m away from it, the 1066 being on the floor), channel 2 would just cut out. Most of the times, it comes back to life if i toggle the -10/+4dB switch on the back.

From what i've seen in the schematic, that switch only alters the internal working levels, and not the output.

I'd appreciate at least some pointers as to where to direct my attention and/or what the most likely culprit might be.

Well, I might be going out on a limb here but I had a cassette deck once that was similar. I found a cracked resistor near the switch that would bring back the audio. Look for a bad copper foil or bad solder or something near the switch that brings it back.

I've already replaced the switch itself, and i re-melted i think all the solder joints that i could see, pertaining to that channel.

But now that i took a closer look at the schematic and where that switch is, i'm starting to mildly suspect those 57.6k resistors, that get switched in and out...
