    Denon AVR 2106 power problem

    when the power is turned on, there is a click and then it goes into standby and the power LED keeps flashing red. Any thoughts?

    Maybe bad final transistors.

      Found the +15 volt line was 0V. The 15V is controlled by the LM7815 regulator. Ordered the part from Digikey.

        No 15 volts is indeed a problem. Regulators can fail, but 3 terminal VR's have a current foldback feature that prevents most problems from smoking it. You might measure the resistance to ground on the 15 volt line to find some other problems. The flashing red light is usually morse code for d.c. at the speaker terminals. (protect mode). Let us know what happens with the new regulator.
        Is it plugged in?

          replaced the +15v regulator and problem solved.
