    Rotel RSDX-02E headphone mode

    Hi!

I need help to disable headphone mode on this unit!
Someone played buttons on front panel and now no sound on speakers. When i push the Surround button, only HEADPHONE MODE appear
Amplifier does not have headphone connector in front, only 3-pin on main board and factory grounded the hpsw line

i tried all combination on front panel, but no success....
In sevice manual no info about full reset, only reset speakers settings to default.

    Anyone have info?

    regards
    Tom

    From internet:
"With the unit unplugged, press and hold the STOP and DVD buttons simultaneously, then reconnect the power cord and release the two buttons.
The front panel should read 'TEST --', and change to 'TEST JC'. Press and release the PAUSE button.
The INPUTATT icon on the top right of display should illuminate. Power down the unit using the STANDBY button to complete reset."

        And from the service menu:
"The methods of initialize the RSDX-02 DVD section:
        1. To set the TEST MODE on the RSDX-02, Press and hold both
“DVD” and “STOP” keys then connect the power line to RSDX-02
until appear “TEST xx” in the FL display. “xx” is Area code.
        2. Press “PAUSE” button to initialize the DVD. When an indication of
        “INPUTATT” is displayed. Finish.
        3. Press Standby switch to save.
        4. The TEST mode can be changed by “CHOICE” of remote key to
show the “Firm version”, “All FL segments”, “Check” of mechanism,
        “Expert” of Front-end."

It says it is for the DVD section, so not really sure if this will affect the headphone mode.

Stubborn GIGABYTE B365M AORUS ELITE - main PCIe x16 GPU port working only in x8 width mode
            by DynaxSC
            Hi,

I have this board, where I have exchanged the LGA1151 socket. During testing I discovered, that the large PCIEX16 slot won't by no force work in x16 mode, but keeps to work in x8 mode only.
I tested this with GPU-Z, also with Render Test (but tried also Furmark and Heaven Benchmark - no effect).
Tested on Core i5-9600K as well as on an Pentium G5420 and MSI NVIDIA GTX1070 and 2 other cards, including RTX3060Ti.
Board architecture definitely allows x16 mode, as all 16 PCIe lanes are present between CPU and main GPU slot (nearest to CPU).

lc 80le632u - Lamp error - TV working after counter reset via buttons
            by lafilipczyk
Hello everyone, I just got my hands on a Sharp lc 80le632u TV that initially had the 1 short, 1 long blink sequence. That indicates a lamp error, however if I follow the isntructions to reset the error counter, the TV starts correctly: no missing LEDs everything lods just fine.

I went through the process to get to the diagnostic screen, and got this ( attached).

Since all LEDs are working correctly, and the TV seems to load fine after reset, that tells me that the power board and the LED strips are working correctly. Could this be a main board issue?

HP Power Supply 6632A: Fast Mode vs Normal Mode?

            FAST MODE vs NORMAL MODE

I have recently acquired a HP 6632A DC power supply. I am just beginning to use it and I have been reading the manuals for it. It is the first power supply I have ever owned or used. I am a very beginner hobbyist and do not have an engineering background, as may be obvious by my question...

I can't seem to understand what the actual use is for the 'Fast Mode' or the 'Normal Mode' on the power supply. Although the manual states what the two modes do from a engineering/technical standpoint, I don't know enough to understand what it all means,...

Rotel RKB-8100 Amplifier going into protection mode
            by redoxy
Unit goes into protection mode within a minute after turning on.
I get sound for a few second before protection mode.

The unit seems to be made up of "two identical halves", which I think will help during troubleshooting.

I tried finding a technical/service manual online but so far by Googling has returned no results.

I think I narrowed it down to Amp 1 in the first picture (pardon my ignorance if that is not an Amp). There are some burnt Chip resistors (shown in picture 2 right image). The big one (R49) is easy to tell from Amp 2 but...

Marantz SR5007 popping on volume change and mute in Direct Mode
            by BigOof
            Hi,

I bought a used Marantz SR5007 and it's giving me some issues that I can't seem to really place. It functions well in most settings, ARC mostly works, it has no issues driving my speakers in any of the digital input modes, but I'm having issues running analog inputs in direct or pure direct mode. For some reason in this mode there's distortion for every volume increment I give it, but once the volume is stable it has no issues. Muting creates a loud pop, switching to another source also causes a pop and so does turning off the amp in that mode. Again, no issue in the digital modes....
